This EOFY, we’re raising funds to support a participant-led podcast project, helping people with intellectual disability build confidence, communication, and digital storytelling skills while sharing their own lived experiences.

Through podcasting, participants will learn new skills, connect with others, and help shape how disability is seen and understood in the community.

If you’d like to support something truly meaningful this EOFY, we’d love you to learn more.

β˜• Today, participants from The Basin campus proudly took part in Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea in collaboration with The Basin Community House.

As part of the ACFE Program, participants helped prepare food for the event and wore their Onemda aprons with pride while showcasing their efforts in the kitchen!

It was wonderful to see staff, participants, families, and the local community come together to support Cancer Council and raise awareness for a great cause.

Global Accessibility Awareness Day.

A reminder that accessibility is about more than ramps and some technology. It’s creating a world where everyone feels included, supported, and able to participate.

We see the impact of accessibility every day through communication supports, inclusive learning environments, technology, and meaningful opportunities that help people with intellectual disability build confidence and connection.

When accessibility improves, opportunities grow for everyone.

These past few months, the Onemda team has attended 20+ school expos across Melbourne.

Connecting with students, families, and school communities about future pathways and support opportunities, these events are an important way for us to help young people feel informed, supported, and confident as they transition into adult life!

πŸŽ™οΈ Everyone deserves the chance to be heard.

At Onemda, we’re creating opportunities for participants to share their stories, perspectives, and experiences through podcasting. Creating this builds confidence, communication skills, and real community connection along the way.

Our latest story explains why this project matters so much, and the impact it could have for people with intellectual disability.

πŸ§₯ A coat you no longer wear could make a real difference to someone this winter.

Onemda, led by our Participant Council, is proud to be supporting a community coat drive alongside local communities, helping provide warmth, comfort, and support to people in need during the colder months. Community initiatives like this show the power of people coming together to support one another.

If you’ve got a spare coat or jacket in good condition, now is the perfect time to give it a second life.
