💕 June is PTSD awareness month 💕

Although we, as a society, are becoming more aware and informed, PTSD, CPTSD and other trauma related issues are still often associated with mental illnesses such as depression and anxiety, and are often largely misunderstood. Sometimes it’s still a ‘taboo subject’.

Throughout this month I’ll be sharing and discussing more about PTSD and my own experience of living with, and managing it.

My personal experience is that it doesn’t go away, or get ‘fixed’. Instead, I have learned to utilise strategies and techniques to help lessen the impact, to be able to live life as best I can, around it.

PTSD is not depression. It’s not anxiety. It’s actually a brain injury. Learn more about it over the month of June 💕
