From vision to reality—Dubbo’s future is moving stronger, together. ✨🤸♀️
In December 2025, Connecting Community Services (Dubbo Neighbourhood Centre Ltd.) put forward a vision: to grow the Orana Gymnastics Academy (OGA) into a more inclusive, accessible, and community-driven space.
In April 2026, that vision became reality—$175,000 secured through the NSW Government Infrastructure Grants Program. 🎉
This investment is more than funding—it’s a commitment to our children, our families, and our community’s wellbeing. 💙 It will deliver a strengthened facility where participation, confidence, and connection can thrive.
Michelle Redden, Chief Executive Officer, reflected on the impact:
“This funding wonderfully supports the development of so many children within our community and surrounding towns. It allows us to continue creating a professional, inclusive space open not only to our gymnasts, but also to schools, childcare services, and organisations supporting people with disability.”
“Importantly, it also enables us to provide scholarships to children experiencing financial hardship—ensuring every child has the opportunity to participate, belong, and grow.” 🌱
NSW Minister for Gaming and Racing, The Hon. David Harris MP, said:
“These grants support local communities to create or upgrade facilities that bring people together, strengthen relationships, and improve health and wellbeing through participation in sport and recreation.”
We were proud to mark this milestone alongside Dugald Saunders MP, Stephen Lawrence MLC , and Mayor Josh Black- Dubbo Regional Council, together with our Board, dedicated OGA team, and inspiring young gymnasts. 👏
For over 50 years, Connecting Community Services has stood at the heart of Dubbo—supporting people, strengthening connections, and creating opportunities.
This is not just an investment in infrastructure.
It’s an investment in belonging, opportunity, and the future of our community. 🌟
