Every day I watch women edit themselves out of their own relationships.
👉🏼 The “I’m fine” when you’re really not.
👉🏼 The want you swallow because asking feels like too much.
👉🏼 The conversation you rehearse in the shower & never actually have.
👉🏼 The ‘yes’ to plans, to s*x, to Sunday lunch at his mum’s, when your body is saying no.
Each one feels small. Harmless, even.
Just keeping the peace ✌🏼
You tell yourself “It’s easier.”
But these tiny silences add up.
And the cost is enormous.
Distance between you growing wider.
Resentment that leaks out sideways over the washing.
Lying next to someone you love yet feeling completely unseen or misunderstood.
The couples who feel truly close aren’t the ones who never disagree.
They’re the ones who tell the truth.
The truth about what they need.
The truth about what they really crave.
The truth about who they’re becoming, even if it’s not the same person their partner married.
I feel this happens for men as well as women.
Being “low maintenance” & never asking for anything is cracking... and thank goodness.
Because your partner can’t meet a version of you that you keep hidden.
🔥 When you voice what you need with devotion instead of blame, your relationship stops being a performance.
You halt the empty false bravado & start having DEPTH. More Support. Substance. Connection.
And you grow together - not apart 🥀
Your voice is the bridge back to each other.
Find your truth, your words and the courage, to ask for what you truly want.
The thing you resist the most is often the solution & magic staring at you in the face.
Ask and you shall receive ✨
