Silky Oak Zen

Silky Oak Zen Silky Oak Zen practice is offered in the context of Western culture, incorporating traditional Asian forms and teachings.

At the heart of recovery practice is meditation and spiritual friendship. By ‘turning the light back onto oneself’ in meditation it is possible to see one’s own true nature and in doing so become awakened. The Buddha taught four postures to meditate in: sitting, walking, standing and lying down. In formal Zen meditation, sitting and walking are especially used.
