Winter is not my favourite season, but I am learning to embrace the lessons it brings and am loving the quiet invitation to slow down and nest a little more while also trying to keep the Winter illnesses and chills at bay for myself and my family.

So these are a few things I’m doing to support my hormones, immune system and mental health this Winter.
- Prioritising sleep; being in bed by 8:30/9pm and asleep by 9/9:30pm at the latest
- Eating colourful fruit and veg for all the antioxidants, vitamins and minerals
- Loading up on garlic and onion for all their medicinal benefits
- Eating slow cooked, warming, grounding foods; think Dahl’s, soups, stews and curries
- Drinking herbal tea, this is an always thing, but warm drinks over cold in Winter
- Finding joy, and taking the time to soak up the things and people that make me smile
- Spending less and less time on my phone
- Not over scheduling myself or the kids, feeling rushed is a stress I don’t want or need
- Tending to my needs too, scheduling those appointments in, getting out for a walk in nature and really looking after myself too

None of it is particularly revolutionary, but simple is good and simple works and when we are all so overloaded with information and tasks already, keep it simple my loves. X

The trees aren’t trying to bloom now and you don’t have to be either.
What if you allowed yourself to move at a slower pace? The day not to the extra activities and yes to earlier nights.

This is the season to nourish ourselves, to peel back the expectations and support our bodies in this season we are in both in our lives and in nature.

In Ayurveda a Vata imbalance can lead to the dryness and aches and pains the cold can bring on. We want to embrace the ancient rituals and nourish our bodies with warming spices, drinks and meals, oils in our foods and in our skin through massage, resting, less busyness, earlier nights and space for slower mornings when we can.

If you are yearning to slow down, to embrace these rituals and create new ones, come join me at my Nourish & Nuture Retreat at the end of the month.
The perfect mid year reset and escape for your heart and soul.
All the details can be found via the link in my bio or send me a message. x

Laaaaaaaddddyyyy! But why do you do this to yourself?

I know I know, you’re sitting here on your phone and it’s so easy… but with the overwhelming amount of health advice out there and throw in AI as well it’s pretty evident how important personalised individual support and treatment plans that are actually developed in collaboration with you and your unique circumstances really are.

Save yourself the time and heart ache, book an appointment with an actual qualified human already and get the advice, support and connection you’re searching for!

It’s not often that we get to that place of total relaxation, where we are actually living in the present moment, our mind is settled without thoughts racing. There is nothing pulling on us, no one calling our name or to-do lists to tend to…

How would it feel for you to be able to spend a weekend in that place?

I know for me it’s pretty magic and that’s why I created the Nourish & Nurture Retreat.

A weekend to be that for you, so your body, mind and heart can all breathe, unwind and fully relax.

Are you ready to say yes to yourself and join me?
That last spot is yours!

We started a little practice at dinner time to help foster gratitude in our children… we sit around the table together to eat and I started asking my family ‘what made your heart happy today?’
Sometimes we do things that made our heart grumpy or sad as well, but always happy.

We’ve only been doing it for maybe just the last month and it’s honestly such a beautiful connection point to come together and open up.

Now whenever we sit down for a meal or snack, Squeak will ask ‘what made your heart happy today Mumma?’ And that she remembers and values the ritual makes my heart so happy!

So after a month with plenty to be happy and grateful for, but also moments of heartbreaking stark contrast, these are some things that made my heart happy this month.
I hope you can find some moments that make your heart happy too. xx

It’s the ripple effects, the unraveling, unwinding and relaxing. The way they soften and open up and how I can visibly see them lighter and more joyous in the way they move and interact.
And then how this flows out into their lives and communities from just one weekend away for themselves.

I can’t wait for this year’s Nourish & Nurture Retreat at beautiful .

If you’d like more details, please send me a message or check the link in my bio.
I’d love to see your name in one of the last spots xx

And yes, you will be so grateful you said yes and booked in!

Because lady you are worthy of slowing down,
Worthy of rest,
and worthy of being cared for instead of always being the one caring for everyone else.

So yes, you are so worthy and deserving of a weekend including all of this and more!

I know how easy it is to talk yourself out it. How easy it is to convince yourself it’s “too much”, not practical, you “should be” spending time with your family, or the money on something or someone else.

But the women who have come on this retreat with me before have always said at our closing circle, “I’m so glad I came!”

The Nourish & Nurture Retreat is a weekend for you to remember your worth and that begins when you book in.

It is a weekend for you to soften, pause, relax and reconnect with yourself alongside a group of other like minded beautiful women.

Only a couple of spots left and limited accommodation options left to choose from.
Message me if you want anymore info, or see the link in my bio.

I can’t wait to welcome you on retreat and then see you exhale with relief as you sigh “I’m so glad I came” at the end of our weekend together. xx

Growing up diet culture was all around us and whilst skinny Tok isn't a thing in my feed, I know for some of you the influence of it is pretty strong.

It's also so ingrained in our psyche, and pushing back against it can be hard.

So start simple, eat breakfast, eat something decent with protein, complex carbs and a source of healthy fat and fibre. You don't have to count your macros (Honestly I don't), just choose nutrient dense foods and something from each of the above.

Start nourishing your body well and eating the right amount of food you need to thrive, not just function and let me know how much better you feel in every area.

If you need support in this area, reach out for a complementary chat to see how we can work together.

Now go make a snack lady xx

Save this one for when you need an easy lunch or are doing your grocery shop and want a few things on hand for work or home.

Healthy doesn’t have to be complicated and in this season of life I think easy, nutritious and delicious is best. There are so many decent options available now that can make eating well enough, easy enough.

Let me know if you try these whole grain options from
There are quite a few flavours to try too.
Enjoy my dear. x

Waking up, opening the curtains and eating breakfast within the hour is signalling to your body that you are safe, that food is plentiful, and your nervous system, hormones and fertility breathes a sigh of relief.

Cortisol naturally rises in the hours before waking, we then want to support it by eating breakfast within 30-60minutes of being awake.

This sense of safety and nourishment has a flow on effect, because our bodies systems don’t work in isolation, so;
It’s going to help regulate our nervous system and circadian rhythm
Support ovulation and healthy hormonal patterns
Stabilise bloody sugar levels and hunger hormones
Support your energy, mood and minimise cravings through out the day.

Think protein, healthy fats and complex carbohydrates.

Need some guidance and support with your eating habits, stress, sleep or hormones?
Send me a message or book a consult through my bio. x
