Melanoma is less common than BCC and SCC.
It begins in pigment-producing cells (melanocytes) and can appear in many different ways:
• Dark or uneven colouring
• New or changing spots
• Raised or evolving lesions
• Changes in size, shape, or texture
One of the most important warning signs is change over time.
When detected early, melanoma is often far easier to treat. That’s why noticing change, and acting on it early, matters.
