Compassionate guidance for clients and their circles of care as they prepare for, navigate and remember life’s final chapter. As an End of Life Doula (also known as a Death Doula), he offers compassionate support to individuals with terminal or life-limiting illnesses and those nearing the end of their lives. Shannon works closely with you and those around you to create a personalised end of life plan, honouring your wishes and providing peace of mind. Shannon is proud to be involved in shaping Australia’s holistic end of life care’s future. He is a Board member and Vice Chair of HELD (Holistic End of Life and Death Care Australia Inc.), an emerging peak body in this field. Additionally, as a founding COTA SA Rainbow Horizons Project group member, Shannon is committed to supporting end-of-life planning and care within LGBTQ+ communities. The mission of Your Path Guide is to ease life’s journey. Whether through regular sound healing sessions or navigating the end of life journey for yourself or someone you care for, Shannon is here to ensure you understand your choices and support those choices with care and respect. Located in Adelaide, South Australia, Shannon looks forward to connecting with you and providing the support you need during these important times.

All sessions are free. Register at sadeathfestival.org if you haven’t already.

Come for a session or stay for the day. Bring a rug if you’d like to join the outdoor picnic.

When wishes are known and plans are in place, families can spend less time on hard decisions and more time together. This morning offers practical advice and compassionate insights to help you and your loved ones plan with clarity and peace of mind.

The speakers are:

Shannon Beresford, Your Path Guide, on the role of an End-of-Life Doula.

Danielle Phillips, founder of Sage Executor Solutions, on pre-planning for executors and the truth about estate administration.

Legal Services Commission of South Australia, on the legal matters to consider when planning ahead.

There will also be specialist exhibitors and service providers to meet over morning tea. I’ll have information available and I’m happy to talk.

The SA Death Festival is this Sunday, and you’re welcome to come along.

Pure Land Home Hospice is presenting a full day at Centennial Park, 760 Goodwood Road. It runs from 8:45am to 5:00pm on 18 October. Dr Heather-Ross, Mayor of City of Mitcham, will open the day.

You’ll find panels, storytelling, workshops, art and meditation. There’s also an outdoor picnic if you’d like to bring a rug and stay awhile. Every session is free.

I’ll have a market stall for Your Path Guide, so please drop by for a chat. In the afternoon, I’m presenting a session at 3pm on End-of-Life Doulas. I’ll talk about what we do, who we support and how to find us.

Death is something we all share. Talking about it early makes it easier for everyone.

What a week! It’s been amazing at the Public Health Palliative Care International conference here in Taipei, Taiwan. The Public Health Palliative Care International conference is going well. Taipei is also an amazing and welcoming city. It’s especially wonderful to be here with another Adelaide friend, Shyla from Palliative Care South Australia.
