Understanding epilepsy starts with awareness.

Seizures can look different for each person, which is why knowing how to respond calmly and safely matters.

Sometimes the most helpful things are simple: stay present, give the person space, follow their support plan, and seek help if needed.

Awareness helps reduce stigma, and creates safer, more supportive communities. 💙

Ally from Sunny Pine visited the showroom in Nunawading for a closer look at some of the equipment and products available to support everyday living.

From mobility aids and wheelchairs to waterproof bedding, incontinence products, Cloud Sacks and adaptive clothing, there’s a lot more available than many people realise.

A great reminder that if something is worn, no longer suitable, or could better support someone’s independence, it may be worth speaking with your support coordinator or plan manager about what’s possible through their NDIS plan.

Thanks to the team for showing us around 💙

A bit late in posting this, but better late than never!
So excited to welcome Sunny Pine Home Care to the SIL Match family ❤️
SPCH was there at the inception of SIL Match and helped test it out to make it as accessible as possible for our community, so this one is a bit special.
Thanks Ally P for being there from the start and for your ongoing support 🥰

Saying no isn’t always easy.

Especially when someone is looking for support.

But in SIL, overpromising can do more harm than good.

It can lead to inconsistent staffing, stressed participants, burnt-out workers, and unstable homes, and that’s not something we’re willing to risk.

At Sunny Pine, we take a more considered approach.

We only take on participants when we’re confident we have the right staff, the right structure, and the ability to provide consistent, high-quality support.

Because this isn’t about filling vacancies.
It’s about getting it right for the long term.

Ally from Sunny Pine Home Care joins us for the 4th and final part of the Coffee With Saranga and Ally series ☕🧡

In this final episode, Ally speaks about what it truly takes to support a participant through independent living. From support workers to behaviour support practitioners, psychologists, occupational therapists and families, positive outcomes are built through a holistic team working together.

Ally also shares why progress in SIL supports does not happen overnight. Whether it is learning to cook independently, building relationships, joining community programs or finding employment, meaningful outcomes are often the result of 6 to 12 months of consistent support.

A huge thank you to Ally for joining us across all four episodes. As one of our very first eZaango clients and our first external Coffee With Saranga guest, we could not have asked for a better person to share a coffee with. 🧡🩷

If you missed any part of the series, head to our page and catch up from the beginning.

A quick chat with our participant Sibe about her routine, her independence, and the things she enjoys most.

Sibe shared what her routine looks like and how support has helped her build confidence and new skills over time.

We’ve loved being part of Sibe's journey and seeing this progress.
