💙 A great day connecting at Beyond Boundaries Melbourne!💙

The Sunny Pine Home Care team has loved being out today meeting participants, families, support coordinators, providers and others working across the NDIS community.

It’s always valuable to step away from the emails and phone calls, have real conversations, build new connections and catch up with familiar faces. 🤝

Thanks to everyone who stopped by the Sunny Pine booth to say hello!

We currently have vacancies available at our Supported Independent Living (SIL) home in St Albans.

This is a mixed home with up to 2 vacancies, suited to someone who may enjoy a balance of socialising, spending time with housemates and having their own space.

The home is fully accessible, including ramps and bathroom modifications, with support arrangements available across 1:1, 1:2 and 1:3 ratios.

Our current housemates enjoy things like getting out into the community, cooking, movies, gaming, reading, drawing and spending time with family, so finding the right fit is just as important as filling the vacancy.

If you’re a participant, family member or Support Coordinator looking for a welcoming SIL home in Melbourne’s west, we’d love to hear from you.

Last month the Sunny Pine Home Care team had the pleasure of attending a NAIDOC Week event, alongside and .

NAIDOC Week is an important time to recognise and celebrate the history, culture, strength, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

It’s also a reminder of the importance of listening, learning, and continuing to show respect beyond the week itself.

Thank you to everyone involved in creating such a meaningful event. 💙

This is the Sunny Pine Home Care experience.

We don’t rush transitions.
We take the time to plan properly.
We get everyone on the same page from day one.

Because when a participant moves into our care, it should feel structured, supported, and stable, not uncertain.

From welcome moments to ongoing communication with families and care teams, everything is designed to make the transition as smooth as possible.

This is how we do it. 💙

A clean wheelchair isn’t just about hygiene.

It’s about dignity, safety, and making sure participants can get on with their day comfortably.

We visited to learn the basics of wheelchair upkeep, from cushions and padding to wheels, handles, footplates, and the areas that often get missed.

Simple reminder for support workers and SIL teams: add mobility aid cleaning to the roster and keep it consistent. 💙

Wheelchairs support more than movement.

They can support independence, confidence, community access, and the everyday freedom to participate in life more fully.

At Sunny Pine Home Care, we recognise how important the right support is in helping
participants stay connected to the people, places, and routines that matter most. 💙

This is why relationships matter.

Support that feels professional, personal, and genuinely caring can make all the difference.

Understanding epilepsy starts with awareness.

Seizures can look different for each person, which is why knowing how to respond calmly and safely matters.

Sometimes the most helpful things are simple: stay present, give the person space, follow their support plan, and seek help if needed.

Awareness helps reduce stigma, and creates safer, more supportive communities. 💙
