Full Funding Secured for Corner Inlet Hygiene Station

We are proud to partner with Manna Gum Community House and celebrate a major community milestone following the approval of full funding for the construction of a new dedicated hygiene station facility in Foster.

The facility will support community members experiencing homelessness, displacement, living in vehicles, or couch surfing. Additionally, the facility addresses the needs of residents facing financial hardship who are unable to afford hot water or electricity at home, as well as households affected by prolonged power outages during severe weather events.

It will feature one unisex fully disability-accessible shower and toilet cubicle, a dedicated laundry cubicle and hand-wash basins. Manna Gum staff will manage the facility during office hours, with access provided through the house's community support services.

Open since 1999, providing a local banking service with a full range of products and service from the Bendigo Bank.
Profits stay here in our local community. $2.7 Million dollars and counting!

Last Saturday the Tuesday Golf Allstars hosted a fantastic, sold-out Christmas in July fundraiser at the Yanakie Settlers Hut. The evening was a wonderful example of the power of community, bringing together local people, businesses, and organisations to support a shared cause.
Over $6,500 Raised! ✨ 🌟 💫🙏
Held to support the South Gippsland Community Health Foundation and our partner, Prom Country Aged Care, the event raised an incredible $6,500 through an auction expertly run by Mike Stevens. Thanks to the generosity of everyone who donated raffle and auction items, these funds will go directly to the Prom Country Aged Care Fund to enhance the lives of local residents.

A special thank you to Bruce Lester, and the Tuesday Golf Allstars for organising such a memorable event. Gratitude to everyone who bought tickets, volunteered, donated items, and supported the cause.

South Gippsland Community Health Foundation (SGCHF) funds our digital push.

The SGCHF has funded the $61,000 Look out Way Client Data Management System, to underpin our Support at Home (Home Care Packages) service.

SGCHF president Graeme Baxter said the digital program would help local people stay safe at home.

“We are proud to support SGH in helping people stay safe at home. This digital program is not just about working more efficiently; it is about providing better care. We are very grateful to the people of Corner Inlet, whose donations make projects like this possible.”

SGH Director of Community Care Samantha Park, welcomed the investment.

“This investment highlights the power of community-backed partnerships in sustaining and strengthening rural health services, ensuring local people can continue to access modern, reliable
care now and into the future,”

SGH is responding to national aged care reforms including the Support at Home program and the Lookout Way system is regarded as essential to that work.
