FROM OUR DIRECTOR
This has never been about going against the system.
The NDIS is an incredible opportunity for our most vulnerable community — and we are so fortunate to live in a country that provides a platform like this when many others don’t.
But we also have to be honest.
Right now, there are gaps. And those gaps are affecting real people.
Advocacy isn’t just about invoices being paid.
It’s about standing by the promise you make when you take on someone’s care — a husband, a wife, a parent, someone’s child.
I don’t just sit in a director role.
I work on the floor alongside my staff. I see the challenges firsthand, and I step in wherever I can to find solutions.
Our participants should not be ending up in hospital for non-acute reasons due to funding delays or system misalignment.
We should be working together — providers, hospitals, and the system — to prevent that.
That’s why RHC has created a Transitional Stabilisation Pathway.
A model built on collaboration, not competition.
This isn’t about who makes more money.
It’s about doing better — together.
Not all providers are the same, but I truly believe the majority are here for the right reasons.
Now it’s time to align the system with that.
But also for NDIS to recognise those providers truly helping and not financially burden us so we can continue helping 🙏
