She Stands Bright

The dawning.⁣
⁣
I woke up for the sunrise today and on a winter morning, the light and the warmth was wonderful. My sweet bird came to visit filling me with joy. ⁣
⁣
She stands bright, it’s time for the next stage. Last night’s full moon allowed me to release the most recent stage of the healing - villain ascent (the sacred rage) that rises when we finally see clearly. ⁣
⁣
How long you stay in that space depends on how long you have been masking and denying yourself. The realisations unfold slowly at first then rapidly, then you doubt yourself, shake and the rage rises, like a fire clearing your path … ahh well it’s out of my body now and released. ⁣
⁣
The release though brutal over the past months is important as it allows you to clear, and we know that it also lets your body recover, recalibrate and reset. Holding onto anger, pain and sadness can make you sick - both physically and mentally. Bessel van der Kolk wrote a whole book about it (the body keeps score, definitely worth the read). ⁣
⁣
Although I read the book several years ago and reread it again recently, it took me awhile to truly understand it. And, it would seem a while longer to allow my body to work through it. But now … sunrise, release and the next phase of healing. ⁣

I’m grateful, hopeful and ready. ⁣
⁣
Time to Rise, Reclaim, Radiate ☀️⁣

Hello 👋🏻 it’s been a red hot minute and I’ve been away for awhile. There have been lots of changes in my life in past few months but some things stay the same.

I’ve been a long time fan of Harry Potter and was thrilled in a recent visit to Melbourne to get to be near some of the props from the movie. The mermaid window from the goblet of fire.
No sign of Myrtle though!

Nothing like a visit to a museum or two … you never know what you find
