Emotions are often described as energy in motion.
They are designed to move through us, carrying information that helps us respond to our experiences, and support our connection to ourselves and others.
So, what happens when an emotion isn’t fully processed?
Sometimes we suppress, avoid or just don’t have the capacity or safety to feel it at the time.
When these emotions are not fully felt, processed and resolved, the emotion (energy in motion) becomes stored or stuck in specific organs. Over time this influences the nervous system, hormones, muscles, digestion, and immune function.
In a kinesiology session, we use muscle testing as a tool to access stress patterns and unresolved emotional experiences that the body may be ready to process.
Through this process, we can identify emotional themes, life stages, and significant experiences that may have contributed to the current stress pattern.
This might present as something like:
“Feeling resentful towards _____ at age _____, with the dynamic of suppression.”
Rather than reliving the experience, the intention is to bring awareness to what has remained unresolved.
When these emotions and experiences are acknowledged in a safe and supported way, the body is often able to let go of the stress associated with them.
Clients are usually astounded at the precise information we find, and how they are able to release the emotional pattern using a range of supportive techniques - to then go on and experience more enriching emotional experiences without past stress holding them back.
