Life doesn't happen one muscle at a time. So why would we only train that way?
Our bodies are designed to work together.
And there's some fascinating science behind this.
Research into muscle synergies suggests that the nervous system can coordinate groups of muscles as flexible units to accomplish movements.
Even more interesting, research on motor abundance suggests that having multiple ways to organise our joints and muscles helps us adapt to changing demands.
In simple terms, your body doesn't have just one way of getting something done. It has options.
And that's what I love exploring through movement.
Not just making individual muscles stronger, but discovering how the whole body can work together, respond, adjust and solve different problems.
Because life doesn't always give us predictable movements.
And the more options our body has, the better prepared we may be for whatever comes next.
Strength is important. But it's only one tool in the toolbox.
