Are you of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander origin? Aboriginal

How long have you lived in the Clarence Valley and what makes it such a special
place to call home? Moved here in November 2024

What inspired you to nominate as a 2026 Junior Jacaranda candidate?
I thought it would be fun and I could meet new people.

What are some of the events you’re looking forward to participating in as a 2026 Junior Jacaranda candidate?
Bingo and the Music Trivia, I like music and find bingo entertaining, the Ball because I like to dress up in dresses and dance. And I am looking forward to all of the events for the
Jacaranda Festival.

As a 2026 Junior Jacaranda candidate, what are some personal goals you would like to achieve?
Improve my public speaking, getting comfortable talking to people I don’t know and selling over 7 books of raffle tickets.

What are some of your best memories from attending previous Grafton Jacaranda Festivals?
I had fun going on the Ferris Wheel and seeing everything from above. Walking through the markets with my friends and family and seeing all the different things people were selling because I find that interesting

What is your favourite event to attend during the Grafton Jacaranda Festival and why?
I have only lived in Grafton for 1 full Jacaranda Festival and I really enjoyed Illuminate at See Park, the lights were pretty and I liked watching the dances.

Should you receive the honour of being crowned during the 2026 Grafton Jacaranda Festival, which title will you choose, Junior King, Junior Queen, or Junior Ambassador?
Junior Queen

What would it mean to you to be crowned during the 2026 Grafton Jacaranda Festival, and how would you celebrate?
I would be excited, a little shocked and it would make me happy as this would mean that I would have achieved my goals. I would celebrate with my family and friends with dinner and games.

What words of encouragement would you share with other Clarence Valley youths who may be considering nominating as a Junior Jacaranda candidate one day?
Just give it a go, even if you are afraid or scared, you never know where it will take you and it will help you build your own confidence.

Officially introducing Ciana! 💜

Fun fact; Ciana is Rob and Sonja’s granddaughter, Caitlin’s niece and Liam’s cousin. Ciana’s “Aunty Cait” was the Jacaranda Princess in 2018, which makes watching Ciana grow and shine all the more special.✨

When we say family business, we mean it! 🥰

Come along to the Grafton Jacaranda Festival events and say hello to Ciana and the Rob Cares and Supports management team. Keep your eyes peeled as the excitement begins. 👀💜

5 years of Rob Cares and Supports - WOW!

What a journey the past 5 years has been. Robert Leek began the business as a sole trader, to make a positive impact on the lives of people using NDIS in the Clarence Valley. He had his wife Sonja Leek by his side every step of the way, making the job run smoothly and ensuring all paperwork was completed.

This is also when Sonja began her Support Coordination role, so together they were a power couple out to make some waves in an industry that was very popular.

Within 4 months, Rob had a team of 5, which included his daughter Caitlin Bruton-Duroux. Our team quickly grew over the rest of the first 12-14 months, growing the team by another 5 incredible staff, 4 of which you have seen be a part of the team this entire time; Corrina, Ashleigh, Liam and Julie. All playing vital roles in the job we do every day. Our participant list continued to grow also.

Our tiny team shared Rob and Sonja's small home office and kitchen for the first 2 and half years until it just became too busy for the space.

Fast forward to September 2023, and Rob decided to grow the business more, transitioning to a company - with Sonja and Caitlin both shareholders - and thus began our exciting journey of moving out of Rob and Sonja's tiny kitchen and into the office as you know it today.

July 2025, Rob, Sonja and Caitlin made the successful transition in becoming an NDIS registered company - YAY - and we have now grown our team to an incredible 27 staff and are loving every minute of each day supporting our beautiful, kind, energetic participants with their every day needs.

We continue to value "walking beside" participants, have a few friendly faces joining us in the office now, learning the ropes and Sonja is also now qualified to deliver Social Worker Functional Capacity Assessments - which is perfect for mental health, ASD or psychosocial disorders.

This post is to recognise Rob (and Sonja) and their achievements over these past 5 years, congratulate them on the phenomenal job they provide in the NDIS industry, and also give a HUGE thank you to our fabulous and dedicated team, the participants and their families who have supported us and everyone who has shared our company over the years.

Word of mouth is so powerful, and we are always grateful for the kind words of people in our community. Thank you for 5 years, and here's to many more! 🥂

Happy Anniversary RCAS. 🥰

25/12/2025

🤶 Merry Christmas from our families to your family. 🎄

We wish all our participants, their carers, extended family, friends and the Clarence Valley Community a very joyful, safe and memorable holiday period.

Love from the RCAS crew. 😘
