Yesterday marked our very first home visit with Luxe Beauty by Maya, and what a beautiful day it was. 🤍

There is something so special about seeing confidence shine through something as simple as fresh nails. The smiles, the laughs, the conversations and the joy reminded us that self care is about so much more than beauty, it’s about connection, confidence and feeling valued.

A huge thank you to Maya for providing such a caring, professional mobile service and helping make self care accessible in the comfort of our participants’ own homes.

A huge congratulations to Connah from Grafton High School on completing his one week of work experience with us at Empower Independence! 💙

As our very first work experience student, Connah truly set the bar high. Working alongside Elias and me, he embraced every opportunity with confidence, kindness and a genuine willingness to learn.

At NDIS Rock Chix, Connah became the friendly face welcoming participants and support workers, helping with raffle tickets, making connections and ensuring everyone had a great time. He also joined Elias during his work experience at Salty Paws Dog Wash, attended our daily pool visits, movie outings and was hands on in every activity.

The friendship that grew between Connah and Elias was something really special, and it was clear how much Elias enjoyed having him by his side.

We were so impressed with Connah’s attitude, compassion and work ethic that we’ve welcomed him back to join us one day a week.

We’re incredibly proud of you, Connah. Keep being yourself, you’ve got a bright future ahead! 👏💙

✨ What a wonderful way to spend an evening! ✨

Last night, my family and I attended our first pottery class at Trend Art Designs, and we absolutely loved it!

The atmosphere was so relaxed, the music was calming, and it was the perfect chance to slow down, get creative and enjoy some quality family time.

A huge thank you to Irene for such a beautiful experience. You made everyone feel so welcome, and your passion for what you do shines through.

If you’re looking for something fun, creative and relaxing, I highly recommend giving one of Irene’s pottery classes a go.

Looking for a fun, inclusive way to connect? Join us at Creative Connections, a welcoming fortnightly arts and crafts group hosted by Empower Independence.

Designed with adults in mind, this is a great opportunity to build confidence, make new friendships, explore your creativity and enjoy meaningful social connection. Support workers are encouraged to come along and get involved too!

☕ Coffee and meals are available to purchase from the café during the session.

🎸🩷 What another amazing, successful day at NDIS Rock Chix! 🩷🎸

This week’s theme was Beanie Week and we absolutely loved seeing everyone get involved! From colourful beanies to big smiles and plenty of laughs, the room was filled with friendship, music and an incredible sense of community.

A huge thank you to Bohannon Creek Hand Burned Custom Hats for generously donating hats for our participants. Your kindness and ongoing support mean so much to us and help make each week even more special.

A massive shout out to Rick Firth and the team at Brewhouse Café for continuing to provide such a welcoming, inclusive and safe space where everyone can come together, be themselves and rock out each week. Your support of our NDIS community is something we are incredibly grateful for.

A big thank you to our amazing performers Michelle on Roxy and Miss Stone for bringing the music, laughter and incredible energy every Tuesday. You both know how to get everyone singing, dancing and having an absolute blast!

To everyone who came along, wore a beanie, joined in, volunteered or supported us, thank you. NDIS Rock Chix continues to grow because of this incredible community, and we are so proud to be part of it.

Sometimes it’s a walk by the river, a rainbow overhead, a wagging tail, and someone beside you who genuinely cares.

These are the moments I’ll never take for granted. The little things often become the biggest memories, and it’s a privilege to be part of that journey. 🌈💙

🎉 Happy 3rd Birthday, Noah! 🎉

Today, Noah celebrated his special day with Willow, enjoying a morning filled with park adventures, ice cream, laughter, and plenty of fun.

It has been such a privilege to watch Noah grow into the beautiful little boy he is. Every day he continues to amaze us with his determination, resilience, and the milestones he achieves. Watching his confidence grow and seeing him reach new goals is something truly special.

Noah, your smile lights up every room, and we are so proud of everything you have accomplished. We can’t wait to see what adventures, achievements, and memories the year ahead brings.
