💙🌈 WE’RE RUNNING FOR AUTISM! 🌈💙

This October, Empower Independence is proudly taking part in Run for Autism! 🏃‍♀️💙

This is something I’ve personally participated in every year, but this year is extra special because I have my incredible Empower Independence team right beside me! 💪

For us, it’s about so much more than running or clocking up kilometres. It’s about raising awareness, celebrating differences, breaking down barriers and showing our support for the autism community. 💙

Every person deserves to feel accepted, included, understood and empowered to be exactly who they are.

At Empower Independence, inclusion isn’t just something we talk about. It’s something we believe in, stand for and work towards every single day. 🫶

I’m so proud to have a team who shares that same passion and is willing to get out there and make a difference!

🍌💙 BIG BANANA FUN DAY 2026! 💙🍌

WOW! What an absolutely INCREDIBLE day! 🥹🌈☀️

Today was filled with laughter, adventure, excitement, new friendships and memories that will last a lifetime!

But today was about so much more than just having fun! 💙

It was about building confidence, making new friends, learning valuable life skills and stepping outside our comfort zones.

From managing money, making decisions, practising patience and communicating with others, to encouraging one another and trying new experiences, every little achievement was worth celebrating! 🥰

One of the most beautiful things was watching everyone come together, form new friendships, support each other and simply enjoy being part of something special.

THIS is what Empower Independence is all about! 💙

Creating opportunities, building connections, encouraging independence and making sure everyone has the chance to experience everything life has to offer.

A massive THANK YOU to our wonderful families for trusting us and allowing us to create these incredible memories together.

And to my AMAZING TEAM, I honestly couldn’t be prouder! ❤️ The patience, kindness, dedication and genuine love you put into what you do never go unnoticed. Days like today wouldn’t be possible without every single one of you!

Seeing all those happy faces today reminded me exactly why I started Empower Independence. 🥹💙

A huge appreciation post for Keiarna from Salty Paws 🐾💙

For quite some time now, Elias has been heading to Salty Paws every Wednesday for his work experience, and the difference this opportunity has made for him has been absolutely incredible.

It is so much more than simply going to work each week. It has given Elias purpose, responsibility, routine, confidence and a real sense of belonging. He gets to be out in the community, learning new skills, building his independence and spending time doing something he genuinely loves, being around animals. 🐶

Seeing how proud Elias is of himself and how much he looks forward to his Wednesdays is something really special.

A massive thank you to Keiarna for opening her business and her heart to Elias. For giving him real jobs to do, teaching him new skills, being patient, encouraging him and making him feel valued every single week. The kindness and time you give Elias means more than you probably realise, and we are so incredibly grateful.

This is such a beautiful example of what can happen when one local business is willing to give someone an opportunity. A few hours of work experience can create confidence, independence, connection and a genuine sense of purpose.

🎉💙 Happy 6th Birthday, Levi! 💙🎉

We hope you had the very best Empower Independence birthday, little buddy.

When we asked Levi what he wanted for his special day, his list was pretty perfect. Ride his horse, play games, have a piñata, spend time with the animals and celebrate with his friends. And that is exactly what he got. 🐴🪅🐰🎈

Being able to create a day like this for you honestly means the world to me, Levi. Watching that smile, seeing you surrounded by people and animals you love and getting to celebrate just how special you are was something I’ll never forget.

And hats off to you, little man. You were so brave, so happy and absolutely amazing. You continue to surprise us with just how much courage you have.

You are one very loved little boy, Levi, and we feel incredibly lucky to be part of your journey.

Happy 6th Birthday, buddy. We hope this is one you remember for a very long time. 💙🎂

We’re so happy to welcome Jarod to our Empower Independence family! 💙

With his kind nature, willingness to help and the care he puts into his work, Jarod is already making a lovely impression. He goes above and beyond, and we’re so glad to have him on our team.

Growing up, Jarod always wanted to help others. That passion led him to community services and a role where he can support people in their homes and help them get out and enjoy the community.

After seeing Empower Independence online, Jarod felt it was a team he wanted to be part of. Now he’s here, bringing that same enthusiasm and care to the people he supports. 🫶

Outside of work, Jarod loves 4WDing, cricket, NRL and fishing. You’ll usually find him outdoors, watching sport or planning his next 4WD adventure! 🎣🏏
