40kg down — but that’s not the biggest transformation.

When Skye started with me, she was 39, a busy mum of 5 and caring for her kids full-time.

At 150kg, she was exhausted.

Low energy. Poor sleep. Stress. Pain.

Emotionally, she felt overwhelmed by everything going on around her.

Her weight and lack of energy were starting to dictate her life.

Going out became harder.
Playing with her kids became harder.
And she was missing out on things she used to enjoy.

8 months later…

Skye is 40kg lighter.

But the number on the scales is only part of the story.

She has more energy — so she’s no longer spending her days just trying to get through them.

She’s sleeping better — so she’s waking up feeling more refreshed and has more left in the tank for her kids.

She’s less stressed — so everyday life doesn’t feel like it’s constantly piling on top of her.

And she’s handling life better — so when things get difficult, she feels more capable rather than completely overwhelmed.

She isn’t just feeling better physically. She feels like she’s getting herself back.

She’s going out more.
Playing with her kids again.
Enjoying parts of life she had stopped enjoying.

And this didn't happen because we simply threw her into the gym and told her to work harder.

Skye was also dealing with a knee injury from a fall.

So we focused on what she could do.

We adapted her training, created accountability through weekly sessions, worked on nutrition and lifestyle, and supported her through the challenges she was dealing with outside the gym.

Because transformation isn't always about doing MORE.

It’s about having the right support and strategy to keep moving forward when life gets difficult.

Skye didn't just lose 40kg.

She got pieces of her life back.

If your weight, pain, energy or lifestyle is holding you back from enjoying life the way you want to…

Gareth’s 14-Week Journey — Part 4

What if getting stronger wasn’t really about lifting heavier weights?

What if it was about being able to do more of the things you love?

When I asked Gareth about the results he’s seen so far, his answer really stood out.

He’s stronger than he’s been in a long time.

He’s stronger through every movement.

But the biggest win?

He can keep up with his kids.

He can go and play footy with his son. ⚽

He can climb and be active with his daughter.

He can even do workouts with them.

And that’s what real progress looks like.

Because Personal Training shouldn’t just be about becoming better at training.

It should help you become better at living.

More strength to play with your kids.

More confidence to get involved.

More capacity to do the things you may have stopped doing.

More belief in what your body is capable of.

For Gareth, getting stronger has meant getting more involved in his kids’ lives.

The gym is where we build the strength.

Life is where you get to use it.

And Gareth’s journey is still going.

If you’ve been thinking about getting started but keep telling yourself you’re too unfit, too far behind, or you’ll start when life settles down…

Stop waiting for the perfect time.

Start with where you are.

Gareth’s 14-Week Journey — Part 3

So what have I actually been able to do for Gareth?

I asked him.

And his answers tell you a lot about what happens when Personal Training is about more than simply turning up and doing a workout.

For Gareth, the biggest benefits have been:

ACCOUNTABILITY
Having someone in his corner every week, helping him stay consistent and keep moving forward.

PUSHING THROUGH THE TOUGH DAYS
Because motivation isn't always there. Sometimes you need someone who knows when to challenge you, when to support you and how to keep you moving forward.

BETTER EATING HABITS
Not extreme diets or unrealistic rules — practical tips that Gareth can actually use in his everyday life.

MOVING BETTER
We’ve worked on functional movement and helping Gareth understand how his body moves, rather than simply throwing exercises at him.

TRAINING FOR HIS BODY
Gareth has hyper mobility, so his training needs to be individualised. We work with his body rather than pretending that one program fits everyone.

LEARNING CORRECT TECHNIQUE
One of the biggest benefits of having a coach is learning why and how to perform movements correctly — so you can become stronger and more confident while reducing unnecessary stress on your body.

And then there’s the part that can't be coached for you…

Gareth keeps showing up.

I can provide the plan, the education, the accountability and the guidance.

But Gareth is the one putting in the work.

And he’s doing really well.

That’s what I love about Personal Training.

It isn't about making someone dependent on their trainer.

It’s about helping someone become more capable, confident and in control of their own health.

Gareth's journey is still going.

And if you’re watching this thinking:

“I know I need to start looking after myself, but I don't know where to begin…”

You don't need to have all the answers.

That’s what a good coach is there for.

Send me “START” via DM and let's work out where you're at, what you want to achieve and what your first step could look like.

You probably don’t need another “Monday motivation” post.

You probably already know you need to make a change.

The harder part is actually starting.

You keep telling yourself:
“I’ll start next week.”

“When work settles down.”

“When I have more time.”

“When I feel more motivated.”

But months can turn into years while you keep waiting for the “right” time.

When I asked Skye where she was at before we started working together, she said:

“I felt horrible and wanted to start to change things.”

That sentence says more than you might realise.

She didn’t need to have everything figured out.

She just needed to decide that continuing the same way wasn’t working anymore.

And maybe that’s where you are right now.

You don't need to be fitter before you start.

You don't need to know exactly what exercises to do.

You don't need to have the perfect diet.

You just need to take the first step.

If you’ve been sitting on the fence, wondering whether it’s finally time to do something for yourself…

Tell me what you’re struggling with and we’ll work out where to begin.

Most people don't fail because they aren't trying hard enough.

They fail because they start with the wrong plan.

I've seen people spend months stretching, strengthening their core, changing mattresses, buying ergonomic chairs, or bouncing between different treatments—only for the pain to keep coming back.

The missing piece is often an assessment.

Before I prescribe a single exercise, I want to understand how your body moves.

Where are you compensating?

Which joints aren't moving enough?

Which muscles are overloaded?

Which ones aren't contributing?

Once we answer those questions, your program becomes specific to you instead of another generic back pain routine.

That doesn't mean pain disappears overnight, but by improving movement quality, restoring strength where it's needed, and increasing your body's capacity over time, many people find they move with more confidence and experience fewer setbacks.

If you're ready to stop guessing and start addressing the underlying contributors to your recurring back pain...

Most people believe back pain starts in the back.

In reality, that's often just where the symptoms show up.

Your body is an incredible compensation machine.

If your hips don't move well...

your spine moves more.

If your core isn't creating stability...

your lower back tries to do it.

If one foot collapses, one hip rotates differently, or your weight shifts to one side, your back absorbs those forces every single day.

That's why so many people experience the same frustrating cycle:

➡️ Pain
➡️ Treatment
➡️ Temporary relief
➡️ Pain returns

The goal isn't simply to reduce pain.

The goal is to understand why your body created it in the first place.

When we identify movement compensations, improve stability, restore mobility where it's needed, and teach your body to distribute load more efficiently, that's when lasting change becomes possible.

If you've been dealing with recurring back pain and feel like nothing has truly fixed it...

Fourteen weeks ago, Gareth walked into the gym carrying more than just extra weight.

He was dealing with knee pain, back pain and shoulder pain that were making everyday life harder than it needed to be.

Today, he's 8kg lighter.

✅ Significantly less knee pain.

✅ No more back pain.

✅ No more shoulder pain.

But the biggest win isn't the number on the scales.

It's that he's learnt how to train properly.

Instead of guessing what exercises to do or worrying about hurting himself, Gareth now understands how to move with good technique, train safely and build strength with confidence.

That's the goal with every client I work with.

Not just helping you lose weight.

Not just helping you get out of pain.

Helping you build a body that's stronger, moves better and gives you the confidence to keep improving long after the program finishes.

If you've been putting off getting started because you're worried about injuries, pain or not knowing what to do in the gym...

You're not alone.

Every client starts somewhere.

The first step is understanding where your body is now, then building a plan that's right for you.

If you're ready to lose weight, get stronger and move without pain holding you back...

When I asked Caleb where he was before we started working together, this was his honest answer:

"I wasn't very active or strong and was pretty nervous about going to the gym as I had no idea what I was doing."

I hear this from so many people.
Walking into a gym can feel intimidating when you don't know where to start, and that uncertainty often stops people from taking the first step.

The truth is, nobody starts as an expert.
Confidence comes from learning, building strength, and showing up consistently.

Over the next few weeks, I'll be sharing Caleb's journey and the progress he's made through personalised training, support, and consistency.

If you've been putting off starting because you're worried you'll be judged or don't know what you're doing, you're not alone—and it doesn't have to stay that way.

Sometimes all it takes is someone to guide you through that first step.

Before starting, Gareth was struggling with much more than his weight.

Low motivation.
Depression.
Poor eating habits.
Not wanting to leave the house.
Feeling stuck and unhappy with where his life was heading.

Many people think a transformation starts in the gym.

The truth is, it starts with a decision.

A decision to ask for help.
A decision to take one small step forward.

Stay tuned for Part 3 to hear what has changed in just 14 weeks.

Gareth's Transformation Journey – Part 1

14 weeks ago, Gareth came to me feeling frustrated with where his health was at.

At 39 years old and weighing 127kg, he was dealing with sore knees, a sore back, sore shoulders, and feeling uncomfortable in his own body.

Everyday activities were becoming more difficult, and he struggled to play with his kids for more than 30 minutes before pain and fatigue would set in.

Like many people, he knew something needed to change, but wasn't sure where to start.

Over the coming weeks, we focused on building sustainable habits, improving movement, increasing strength, and creating a realistic approach that fit around his family and work life.

This is Part 1 of Gareth's journey. Stay tuned for Part 2 to hear about the progress he's made and how his life has changed over the last 14 weeks.

If you're feeling stuck, sore, carrying extra weight, or struggling to keep up with your kids, know that it's never too late to start.

Send me a message if you'd like to learn more about how I can help.
