🌟 Finding His Independence: Clayton’s Journey
At just 24 years old, Clayton is living proof that with the right support, strong determination and a big heart anything is possible.
Clayton has been working with My Way Collective over the past few years to build his independence and what a journey it’s been.
From small everyday steps to major life milestones, Clayton’s story is one of resilience, growth and personal achievement.
With the support of his team, Clayton has maintained long-term supported employment, giving him financial stability, routine and a strong sense of pride. He recently made another big move, relocating into shared accommodation with a close friend, marking an exciting step toward even greater independence.
Sport has always been a big part of Clayton’s life. He continues to actively compete in ten pin bowling, a passion that keeps him connected to his community and allows him to shine both socially and competitively.
And this October, Clayton will proudly represent New South Wales in a disability bowling championship, an incredible achievement that reflects years of commitment and hard work.
But perhaps the most exciting chapter? Clayton recently proposed to his long-term girlfriend, and she said yes! The couple are now planning their future together, building a life grounded in shared goals and independence.
Clayton’s journey is a reminder of what can be achieved through person-centred support, community connection and belief in someone’s potential.
We are incredibly proud of Clayton and can’t wait to see what’s next!
