Over the past few years I’ve been working on a few little side quests. A lot of the Bees (and their families) have known about this journey and have been cheering me on from the sidelines so it feels important to share these updates. The text is the last part of the dedication page of my honours thesis. 🐝💜

The Beehive farmers have been very successful with more lettuce than we know what to do with. Bags and bags and bags of lettuce and tomatoes have been going home with families. No strawberries, cucumbers or snow peas have made it home yet though, they’ve made delicious afternoon snacks instead! 🐝💜

Elise Ripoche, the postcard from your Bees has inspired extreme Beehive gardening!

A bit of holiday fun! 🐝💜

Shout out to the great staff at Tinaberries farm, who allowed the Bees to get in the garden with the sign because they were just as entertained as we were! 😂

Always one of my favourite parts of school holidays… 😂😜😴

They keep making the photobooth smaller, the bees keep making it work! 🐝🐝🐝

When my childhood friend writes a children’s book… of course we need to check it out! It’s freshly released so they were pretty chuffed to be among the first people to be able to read it. It was loved equally by all three of them… especially the fact that there was a bee on one of the pages! We all admired the different dresses and all the fun things you can do in a dress. These bees of mine are tough critics but it’s a yes from them! 🐝💜
PS. “Because you know her in real life, do you think if we took a photo she’d send us a message?”

Week 2 of the holidays!

Magic and circus show, colour run, youth fest, cinema visits, a double birthday celebration, party games, craft, karaoke, a visit to RAD rolled ice cream, a surprise colour adventure and so much more.

We’re one week into the term and we’ve already had a number of requests for next holidays.

An added bonus was being at youth fest and getting quick text from the Mum of a Bee, saying she’d seen us at a distance and to say hi. The Bees made a dash over to her booth, kicked some footballs and scored some great prizes. They were proud to announce that they’re Bees from the Beehive 💜

So many new adventures this holidays! 🐝

Week 1 of the holidays and we have been gallivanting all over the place!

I could write all about our adventures but I think the photos tell the story the best.

Just know that I have been bursting with pride over and over again! 🐝💜
