🧡 Happy Father’s Day — to dads of all different kinds.
To the dads.
The stepdads.
The grandads.
The foster dads.
The bonus dads.
The dads doing it on their own.
The dads sharing the load.
The dads who stepped up when they didn’t have to.
The dads who are learning as they go.
To the dads raising little people who experience the world differently. The ones learning new ways to communicate, regulate, connect and understand.
To the dads sitting in therapy waiting rooms, driving to appointments, practising the strategies at home, advocating at school, celebrating the tiny wins that are actually really big wins.
To the dads who play differently, parent differently, love differently — and show up in a hundred quiet ways that might never make it onto a Father’s Day card.
And today, we’re also thinking of those for whom Father’s Day feels a little more complicated — those missing a dad, longing to be a dad, grieving a child, navigating a difficult relationship, or simply feeling something other than celebration today.
Families come in all shapes.
So do dads.
And there’s no one right way to be a good one. 🧡
Happy Father’s Day from all of us at The Place.
