2027 Puggy Hunter Memorial Scholarship Scheme applications are opening soon! 🎓

The Puggy Hunter Memorial Scholarship Scheme (PHMSS) supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to succeed in their health studies, with access to financial, cultural, mentoring and other supports.

If you’re studying, or planning to study, an eligible entry-level health qualification in 2027, this opportunity could be for you.

Applications open 1 September and close 31 October 2026.

Our final round of the 2026 Conference bursary closes in two weeks on 30 August. This time, we open all tiers of bursary application for NAATSIHWP Full and Student Members.

Our 2026 Conference opens with the pre-Conference activities and Welcome Reception on the first day, followed by the two-day full sessions on 22-23 September including the Gala Dinner.

This year’s theme ‘Resilient Roots, Gathering Strength & Growing Futures’ celebrates the ongoing strength of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Health Workers and Health Practitioners, and the growing leadership role of the workforce in shaping culturally safe, community led models of care.

For more than three years, we've been bringing together Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health professionals from across Lutruwita to connect, support one another, share knowledge, celebrate achievements, and advocate for our communities. As our network has grown, it's time to formalise the incredible work our members are doing and continue building a strong, connected Health Professional Mob.

Whether you're a Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander nurse, midwife, Aboriginal Health Worker, allied health professional, doctor, student, researcher or other Health Professional that supports the health and wellbeing of our people—we'd love to have you join us.
