Hello from S Yellow class. We have been busy since our last message.
Exercise is fun! We have been jumping, in the classroom and on the trampoline. We visit the gym several times a week – the swing is everyone’s favourite. Our aim is getting sharper and we can throw the balls into the target from further away.
We used a squeegee to make wipe paintings. By pressing paper onto the paint, we made prints of our artworks.
The day was so sunny and warm that we went for some long walks around the playground. It was even warm enough to play with the water.
In class, we have been learning the symbols for a lot of different sensory activities. We have published our class writing into another book.

Today is National Public Education Day — a time to celebrate our incredible public schools, preschools and TAFEs, and the principals, teachers and support staff who work in them.

Public education brings together children and young people from a range of diverse backgrounds and builds a cohesive community which works as one to create equity, hope, and opportunity.

It provides lifelong benefits to students through access to education, improved health, wellbeing and employment.

That’s something to celebrate! 🎉

A HUGE thank you to The Country and Women’s Association Lindisfarne Branch for donating these wonderful Tasmanian books to our school library. Tassie Rhymes for Little Tigers by Narelda Joy is a wonderful resource to read aloud or share with a friend. The braille edition has been especially welcome!

A little look into our S Red classroom this week.
Whether it’s trying something new, building independence, or connecting with others, our students are always learning in their own unique ways. We are so proud of the way our students engage and grow each day 🙂

💪 An around the campus update - from our Senior PE program✨

Hi everyone,
We are continuing to enjoy our time in the gym working on both individual TASC goals for years 11-12 and also fundamental movement and body control skills in years 7-10.
Key highlights in the past few weeks have included whole group parachute games and moving over and around obstacles around the gym. Great work everyone, lets keep moving!!

From our Junior PE classes -

Hula, hula, hula hoop — how do you work?
Do you spin? Do you roll? Do you go over my head? Or around my body?
I’m not sure, but I will give it a go!
Our junior gym goers had a wonderful time experimenting with the giant rainbow hula hoops recently 😊

⭐ Appreciation Post! ⭐

Thanks to the incredible fundraising and generosity of our School Association, our senior students now have a brand-new coffee machine! ☕✨

This essential upgrade supports our in-house work-experience program, where our Year 11 and 12 students build communication, social, and practical workplace skills, including problem-solving and handling money.

Our old machine was quite literally held together with tape and glue, so this upgrade is truly a gamechanger for their learning!

A big thank you as well to the wonderful people at De’Longhi for providing the machine at a heavily discounted price (and for the extra goodies!) 🙌
