Here’s an affirmation for when you or your child is feeling anxious.

Talking to yourself out loud and saying affirmations reaffirms to your brain that you are safe, you are loved and you are NOT your feelings!

6 Great Journaling Prompts to Help Your Mindset when your doing some reflection.

I’ve had lots of conversations with clients lately about journaling and where to even begin. Often they don’t know where to start. The funny thing is when you start writing you’ll find the more information comes to you.

These are 6 Great Prompts I recommend to get you or your child started with journaling to help reflect, identify worries and emotions as well as change your mindset.

People are talking about me and I couldn’t care less….

Because it’s the small wins and the client opinion and feedback that matters most to me.

I don’t care what others are saying….cos this kinda talk makes my heart sing with pride and gratitude!

Anxiety in kids/teens can sometimes come from lack of confidence and self of esteem as well as the fear of the unknown.

When riddled with fear, anxiety and panic kicks in and takes over and they can’t move forward.
Lack of self esteem and confidence builds fear as they don’t have the courage or the tools to work through the fear and the anxiety.

The Jar of Courage is a great tool that builds confidence in the child, and allows them to then identify acts of courage they took themselves.

Courage helps work through fear and anxiety….its a snowball effect.

Build your child’s/teens confidence and self esteem and they will have the courage to work through anxious feelings.

The right tools make all the difference. If you need some support for your child send me a DM.

3 Discreet Fidgets that are Perfect for Teenagers with Anxious Minds.

This has been coming up a bit lately with the kids I’m working with so I thought I’d share some great tools that I recommend. With many schools banning fidgets or jewellery teenagers can be limited with what tools they use to keep focused or help regulate.

1 - a hair tie around the wrist is perfect for them to flick or move around as it sends signals to the brain to distract it from their anxious thoughts
2 - a ball of blue tack is the perfect piece of stationary they can keep in their pencil case yet move around in their fingers to help them focus or regulate
3 - a small crystal for their pocket is something that they can use as a “safe” object, move around in their fingers or simply hold in their pocket

All great distraction methods that can assist with anxious minds and staying regulated.
