✨ A CLIENT STORY: WHEN THE MOTHER WOUND REVEALS AN ANCESTRAL STORY
She came to me for a Divine Soul Reading.
We connected through Zoom, creating a quiet space for her to explore what was beneath the stories she already knew.
As the reading unfolded, themes around one of her parents who had passed began to surface.
We gently explored her relationship with her mother, and the emotions she had carried within that relationship.
Then something deeper emerged.
There were still unpacked stories from her grandparents.
Stories, beliefs and emotional patterns that seemed to travel through the family line, influencing the way love, identity, responsibility and self-worth were experienced from one generation to another.
And then came the moment of recognition.
She began to see that the way her mother had treated her may have reflected something much deeper:
How her mother had learned to see herself.
Sometimes what we experience from our parents is not simply about us.
A parent may unconsciously relate to their child through the lens of their own unresolved wounds, beliefs and emotional history.
And when we become conscious of this, something can shift.
Not to excuse what happened.
Not to deny the pain.
But to understand the pattern without continuing to become the pattern.
This is where Ancestral Healing becomes a journey of awareness.
We can honour our ancestors without carrying everything they carried.
We can acknowledge the past without allowing it to define our future.
And we can begin to ask:
“What ends with me?”
and
“What wisdom do I choose to carry forward?”
