I’m sure every facilitator has their nerves, have their doubts, and fears.. holding space is not something to take lightly. And I feel this breathwork space deeply.
Being trauma Informed means understanding the safety of the environment, the amount of participants we hold (very small groups) not because we can’t, but so you feel safe enough to drop your guard and release. It means understanding intensity and when to and not to. Not forcing big reactions. Teaching you to trust your bodies wisdom. It’s not taking videos and pictures for content, for likes, It’s literally holding you with a nurturing energy so you feel safe to be seen, be heard, be felt, be witnessed. It’s you feeling safe enough to trust me to guide you.
No shade on facilitators that dont do any of these things. But this is where the integrity of this work takes another level. . And sometimes that will show in nerves before you arrive. We anchor into the moment together.
That’s the gift, I am still human, I feel deeply, and I hold deeply..
And here’s to other beautiful breathwork facilitators I’ve met along the way and hold with the same integrity… this is your reminder too ❤️
