Nobody talks about how much time women spend thinking about food.

What to cook.
What’s healthy.
What the kids will eat.
What’s in the fridge.
What needs defrosting.
What everyone needs
Who needs what snacks when
What sports are they playing

Sometimes dinner isn’t just dinner… it’s mental load too 🤍

Active mummas listen up… My biggest tip for busy families:
Stop trying to make a different meal every night.

Pick:
• 2–3 protein options
• a few carbs everyone likes
• easy veg/salad options
• 1 simple sauce or dressing

Then mix and match through the week. 🤍

It saves time, mental load, money and makes healthy eating feel way more achievable.

When it comes to your health, I believe one of the best places to start is your gut.

Your gut is responsible for so much more than digestion. It’s where nutrients are absorbed, where a large portion of your immune system lives, where hormones and neurotransmitters are influenced, and where blood sugar regulation, inflammation, recovery, mood, energy and performance all connect.

How your gut functions can impact:

* your energy
* your sleep
* your recovery
* your mood
* your hormones
* your skin
* your performance in the gym
* and how you feel day to day.

If you experience bloating, poor digestion or low energy — even though you’re eating “healthy” — try these simple things consistently for 3 weeks:

• Swap raw salads for warm, cooked meals
Cooked foods are often easier to digest and gentler on the gut, especially when digestion is already compromised.

• Slow down when you eat
Chew your food properly, eat without distractions and allow your body to actually register and digest your meals.

• Reduce refined sugars and ultra-processed foods
These can contribute to inflammation, blood sugar spikes and an imbalance in gut bacteria.

• Prioritise protein and fibre at each meal
This helps support blood sugar balance, digestion and keeps you fuller for longer.

• Don’t fear carbs — prepare them smarter
When you cook, cool and reheat potatoes or rice, it increases resistant starch, which helps feed beneficial gut bacteria and supports gut health.

Simple habits done consistently can make a huge difference.
Your gut doesn’t need perfection, it needs support. ✨

I help busy & active women master the basics so they can function at their best.

I have a free 7 day trial to the Collective, this is a space where you can always go to for consistency. So when you fall off track, get sick or even life gets busy, you can always come back there, so you’re not always starting over.
