Sight — Awakening Your Inner Vision
Sight is one of the primary ways we experience and interpret the world. Our minds are filled with images: the faces of loved ones, places we have visited, events from our past and pictures created through imagination.
Even when our eyes are closed, we can visualise familiar objects, remember a face or imagine a scene. Our inner world is rich with images, symbols and associations.
In spiritual and psychic traditions, the term clairvoyance means clear seeing. It is commonly used to describe experiences of receiving impressions through mental images, symbolic pictures or a perceived inner vision rather than ordinary physical sight.
Some people describe these experiences as vivid pictures appearing in the mind. Others experience fleeting symbols, colours, faces, places or scenes that seem to arise spontaneously.
When developing your intuition, begin by paying attention to your natural visual awareness. Notice the images that appear in your imagination, the details that catch your eye and the symbols that repeatedly attract your attention.
The key is not to force yourself to see something extraordinary. Instead, allow your mind to become quiet enough to notice what is already happening.
Practical exercise: The Inner Eye
Sit comfortably in a quiet space and gently close your eyes.
Take several slow, comfortable breaths.
Picture a familiar object, such as a flower, a candle or a piece of fruit.
Notice its shape, colour, texture and details in your mind.
Allow any additional images or associations to arise naturally.
Record your experience without judging it or trying to interpret everything immediately.
Over time, this exercise can help you become more familiar with your inner imagery and distinguish deliberate visualisation from spontaneous impressions.
