Sauna, river dips, nature, and a long table under open sky. Embers of the Valley is the retreat we always wished we could find, so we built it ourselves. We’re hosting a few seasonal ones next year, kept small on purpose. Our 2027 waitlist is now open via link in bio.

We have just finished a weekend of Australia’s first sauna festival up in the Blue Mountains with The Big Sweat | Sauna Festival Australian Sauna Association (ASA) and Blue Mountains Sauna & Aufguss
 
This event showed just how incredible this community is - instead of competition like so many other industries- this was an opportunity for like minded people to come together and share their love of all things sauna! We were lucky to experience Australia’s first wood fired smoke sauna too!  
 
Over one thousand people visited throughout the weekend which shows the growing interest in sauna culture here in Australia and we couldn’t be more excited to be part of it!  
 
Thanks Blue Mountains Sauna & Aufguss for hosting such a wonderful event. As ambassadors of the Australian Sauna Association we hope to see more events like this in the future.

Our very first retreat! We knew the food would matter. We just didn’t know it would completely steal the show. 
 
Jess from The Fermented Mother. fed us for three days straight. Special mention to her sourdough starter, which is 95 years old and easily the talk of the weekend. 
 
Then Saturday night, Bente from Ignite Catering cooked us the most epic fire feast. Out at the flames for hours before any of us even sat down. Everything over open fire, under the stars, river right there behind us. Just a dream. 
 
The long table, epically styled by Julieanne Perara Photography. The fire going down, nobody once checking the time or their phone. Tech free weekend and honestly nobody missed them. 
 
Huge thanks to you both for bringing your passion and your enormous hearts. We’ll be thinking about this one for a long time!❤️🌱🔥

Did you know the very first sauna festival is happening next weekend in the Blue Mountains?  
 
As proud ambassadors of the Australian Sauna Association (ASA) we couldn’t be more excited! We will be there to enjoy sauna, aufguss ceremonies, cold plunges, live DJs, delicious food and so much other fun stuff!
