Are you wondering what vaccines you are needing and when to get them?
Below we have summarised the State and Nationally Government Funded vaccines:
PATIENTS AGED 65 YEARS AND OVER
• Pneumococcal vaccine – "Capvaxive" – Single dose 1 year after any other pneumococcal vaccine has been given (Prevenar 13 or Pneumovax 23)
• Shingles vaccine – "Shingrix" – Two doses 2-6 months apart
• Influenza vaccine – "Fluad" – Single dose annually
• Covid vaccine – recommended annually (eligible every 6 months)
PATIENTS AGED 75 YEARS AND OVER
• RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) vaccine – "Arexvy" – Single dose
• Covid vaccine – recommended every 6 months
You may also be eligible for earlier vaccines if you are:
• Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people
• Immunocompromised
OR
• If you may have medical risk factors
