There HAS to be an easier way… 😂

The Balm Dots are ready to come out and this time we have to get hundreds of the little things OUT of their moulds!

I popped the moulds into the freezer first so the balm would be nice and firm while I pushed them out without squishing or marking them. Once they're back at room temperature they soften beautifully while still holding their shape.

You can even see me squish one straight from the freezer and rub it into my hands. I love how quickly that little dot melts and spreads across the skin. 🤎

But here's my problem…

There are HUNDREDS of them, and popping them out one at a time is definitely not going to be a practical long-term solution. 😂

So I need your ideas!

If you had a silicone mould filled with hundreds of tiny frozen Balm Dots, how would YOU get them all out quickly without damaging them?

Surely someone out there knows a clever trick I haven't thought of!

Tell me in the comments, I'll be trying some ideas with the next batch.

I had an idea… meet our little Balm Dots 🤎

What if I took some of our tallow balms and poured them into tiny little moulds? Well… obviously I had to try it. 😂

First up is our Citrus Spice Balm, with sweet orange and clove essential oils, followed by our Vanilla Bean Tallow Balm, made with tallow slowly infused with real vanilla beans.

But I think my favourite part of this whole video is watching them set.

They start out warm, melted and golden, and then slowly change into that beautiful creamy white as the tallow cools. There is something ridiculously satisfying about watching it happen!

These little Balm Dots could be such a lovely way to try one of our balms without committing to a whole jar or perhaps find their way into orders and gift sets as little extras. 🤎

Now we just have to get them OUT of the moulds…

That, it turns out, is a story for another video. 😂

Which would you try first 🍊 Citrus Spice or 🤍 Vanilla Bean?

June Has Been Added to the Temperature Blanket 🧶❄️

Another month stitched into my 2026 temperature blanket!

Each row represents the temperature for the day, so as the year goes on, the blanket slowly becomes a colourful record of Tasmania’s weather. June brought temperatures ranging from around 10°C to 16°C — and you can definitely see winter settling into the colours.

I love watching this blanket grow month by month. By December, I’ll have an entire year of temperatures stitched into one blanket — something practical, handmade and a little piece of 2026 to keep.

Now onto July… I have a feeling there might be a few more chilly colours coming. 😂🧶

Have you ever made a temperature blanket — or would you have the patience to make one?

Don’t Toss the Ramekin — Just Refill It! 🫧

One of the things I love about our solid Dish Soap is how simple it is to keep using.

When your ramekin starts getting low, there’s no need to replace the whole thing. Just grab a Dish Soap Refill, break it into pieces, pop them into your ramekin, add a little water and press them firmly into place.

Then it’s straight back beside the kitchen sink and ready to tackle the dishes again. 🙌

Our ramekins are intentionally reused and repurposed, and the refill means you can keep using yours again and again rather than buying another container every time your soap runs out.

Simple. Practical. Less waste. And a good old-fashioned solid dish soap that does the job. 🤍

Would you choose a solid dish soap over a bottle of liquid dishwashing detergent?

Can You Wash Your Hair with Tallow? | Part 3 🌿

It’s finally time to unmould our Botanical Tallow Shampoo Bars!

After about four and a half hours, the little dinosaurs, round shampoo bars and those beautiful oversized hearts are firm enough to come out of their moulds.

They may look ready to use, but handmade shampoo bars need time. These will now spend around 4 to 6 weeks curing, becoming harder, milder and longer lasting.

And that completes the journey from rosemary-infused tallow and nourishing oils to our finished Botanical Tallow Shampoo Bars. 🌿

Can You Wash Your Hair with Tallow? | Part 2 🌿

Now it’s time to pour our Botanical Tallow Shampoo Bars!

Working quickly before the mixture becomes too thick, I pour the shampoo bars into our dinosaur and round moulds. But there was a little more mixture than expected… so out came the heart moulds. ❤️

They’re much bigger than our usual bars, but they turned out so beautifully that I think they could become a special-edition shampoo bar or something extra special for our gift sets.

What do you think we should do with the heart-shaped bars?
