Over the last 25 years I've worked across coaching, behaviour change, ADHD, leadership, spirituality and personal development.
One challenge keeps showing up.
We have thousands of brilliant practitioners helping people create meaningful change.
Yet we have very little shared language for describing what is actually developing.
A breathwork facilitator may help someone become more present.
A leadership coach may help someone become more accountable.
A therapist may help someone regulate emotions.
A spiritual teacher may help someone become more aware.
A men's group may help someone develop healthier boundaries.
Different language.
Different methods.
Potentially similar underlying developmental outcomes.
This led me to develop what I'm currently calling the **7 Capacities Framework**.
The goal is not to replace anyone's modality.
The goal is to create a shared developmental architecture that allows:
β
Individuals to understand, plan, measure and track their development across multiple streams of work.
β
Coaches and practitioners to clearly communicate what capacities their work develops.
β
Different modalities to sit alongside one another without competing for philosophical superiority.
β
Better outcome tracking and potentially better research into what actually creates lasting change.
At this stage I'm inviting coaches, facilitators, therapists, educators, spiritual leaders and community builders to review the framework and explore whether it could be useful within their work.
There is no charge.
No certification.
No licensing requirement.
No commercial obligation.
If you choose to use it, all I ask is attribution to Spiral Hub as the originating framework.
Reciprocity is entirely voluntary.
My vision is simple:
Create a common language that reduces confusion in the personal development space and helps people understand not only *what they are doing*, but *what is actually developing*.
If that conversation interests you, send me a PM.
I'm particularly interested in hearing from practitioners who work in:
β’ Coaching
β’ Therapy
β’ Leadership
β’ Men's work
β’ Women's work
β’ Spiritual development
β’ Recovery
β’ Education
β’ Community development
I'd love your feedback, your critique and your perspective.
The framework will be stronger if it is shaped by people doing the work.
