🚨 WE’RE HIRING! 🧹🏠

TwoHearts Queensland is looking for a Casual Crisis Accommodation Cleaner to join our growing Crisis Response Program.

Our Crisis Response Program provides short term accommodation for individuals and families experiencing homelessness, domestic and family violence, mental health crisis and other serious circumstances.

When a placement comes to an end, we need someone we can rely on to help clean and reset the property, ready to be returned to our housing partner or prepared for its next use.

💰 $35 per hour + super
🚗 $1.01 per kilometre where applicable
🧹 All cleaning equipment and supplies provided
⏰ Casual, as needed work
📅 Currently estimated at a minimum of approximately 5 hours per month, with room for more hours as the program grows
📍 Work across Logan, Brisbane, Flagstone and North Brisbane, with paid travel between locations

Applicants must have a current Queensland Blue Card, driver's licence, reliable vehicle and be willing to undergo a National Police Check.

TwoHearts will organise and pay for the Police Check.

This could be a great opportunity for someone looking for flexible additional work while becoming part of a program that is continuing to grow across Queensland. ❤️

🚨 BRISBANE & LOGAN — WE NEED YOUR HELP! 🏠

We are urgently looking for a vacant SDA or SIL property to help a young woman escaping domestic violence move into a safe place.

📍 Logan
📍 Brisbane South
📍 Brisbane North
📍 Brisbane inner city

She is ready to move and has everything she needs to furnish a one-bedroom home. What we need now is simply the home.

Through the TwoHearts Crisis Response Program, we partner with SDA and SIL providers who have vacant properties and use them as short-term crisis accommodation for people who need somewhere safe to stay.

We manage the placement from start to finish. We conduct regular property inspections, provide updates, manage incidents and help cover the costs associated with the property while it is being used.

For providers, it's an opportunity to put an otherwise empty property to use, help cover some of its ongoing overheads and, most importantly, give someone a safe place to call home when they need it most. ❤️

Sometimes support looks like sitting down and talking.

Sometimes it looks a little different. ❤️

As a Recovery Coach, I’ve learnt that meeting someone where they’re at doesn’t always fit neatly into a textbook.

Sometimes it’s organising a birthday cake when life has become too much.

Sometimes it’s sitting beside someone through the hardest story they’ve ever told.

Sometimes it’s creating a safe space for someone to finally say the words they’ve carried for years.

And sometimes, it’s doing something completely unexpected because that’s what the moment calls for.

Recovery isn’t one-size-fits-all. People aren’t one-size-fits-all

At TwoHearts, we lean into the human side of support, connection, trust, compassion and showing up when it matters.

And apparently… occasionally doing it in bright green socks. 😂🧦❤️

🎉 Tomorrow is a special day for our Co Founder & Recovery Coach, Joe.
Instead of celebrating with gifts, Joe has chosen to turn this birthday into an opportunity to help build the future of TwoHearts Queensland.

Right now, the TwoHearts Crisis Response Program operates as a for profit organisation. Our goal is to transition to a registered not for profit and, ultimately, a registered charity. This important step will allow us to access grants, build partnerships and expand the support we provide to people experiencing crisis.

To help make this vision a reality, Joe has launched a birthday fundraiser. Every dollar donated will be reinvested directly into TwoHearts to help establish our not for profit and build a stronger foundation for the future. No funds will be used for personal benefit.

I'm incredibly honoured to have been invited as a guest speaker at this year's Lions Clubs International Q4 District Convention.

At the invitation of the 2026 District Governor, I'll be sharing my journey and speaking about the impact of volunteering, the power of kindness, and how one small act of support can change someone's life in ways we may never fully realise.

What makes this opportunity even more special is that the current District Governor was my high school principal. He is someone I've always looked up to and who had a profound impact on my life. He personally funded my first few Youth Insearch Foundation camps, and without even knowing it, helped shape the path that would eventually lead to the creation of TwoHearts Queensland.

It's a reminder that we never truly know the impact our kindness can have. A conversation, an opportunity, or a simple act of believing in someone can create a ripple effect that lasts a lifetime.

I'm looking forward to sharing my story, not because it's about me, but because I hope it encourages others to invest in their communities, volunteer where they can, and never underestimate the difference they can make in another person's life.
