Psychosocial safety is an organisational responsibility.
But does that mean individual capacity doesn’t matter?

I don’t think so.

Organisations have a responsibility to create safer conditions through work design, leadership, systems, support and the way work is experienced.

At the same time, building human capacity gives people practical skills to navigate pressure, change and uncertainty without replacing the organisation’s responsibility to manage psychosocial risk.

For me, we need both:

Safer systems + stronger human capacity.

That’s the conversation Wonderlab will be bringing to The Business Show Sydney 2026 at ICC Sydney on 25–26 November.

You’ll find us at Booth , where we’ll be introducing:

Future-Ready Humans: The Human Capacity Lab

Building practical human capacity to navigate pressure, change and uncertainty.

I’ll also be speaking on:

Beyond Compliance: Turning Psychosocial Safety Into Everyday Practice

Because understanding the requirements is only the beginning.

The harder question is:

Can leaders and teams actually practise psychosocial safety when workload increases, conflict appears, change happens or someone is struggling?

At Wonderlab, we see the journey as:

Compliance → Capacity → Culture

Organisations create safer systems.
People build the capacity to navigate pressure, change and uncertainty.
Everyday practice is where the two come together.

If you’re attending The Business Show Sydney, come and find us at Booth .

And I’d love to hear from you:

What’s been the hardest part of turning psychosocial safety requirements into everyday practice in your organisation?

What a moment... Mia Kam and the Macquarie Dragons are U16s Champions!

Well done, Mia. I’m so proud of you. You always push yourself beyond your limits, but what makes me even prouder is seeing what a great team player and supporter you are.

A huge congratulations to the whole Macquarie Dragons team. Every time I watch these girls play, I can see their dedication, determination and the way they lock in together as a team.

Love the passion, the teamwork and the joy you bring to the game. Keep enjoying every single minute, you’ve earned this one!

U16s Champions! Well done, girls!

Have you ever really stopped to ask: Who am I?

We play so many roles every day... parent, partner, leader, friend, carer. But each role can bring out a different part of us.

Maybe the better question is: Who do I want to be in this moment?

5:32am start, flying to Melbourne ✈️

Feeling genuinely excited because every conversation about psychosocial safety is another opportunity to help create healthier, safer and happier workplaces.

Flight reading today: Ikigai... and it got me thinking about purpose.

Maybe doing work that energises you, helps others and keeps you learning is part of finding it.

What gives you a sense of purpose in your work?

Today I learned something from our Gen Z team. 😂

“Am I assuming my normal is the right normal?”

A small reminder that different generations can have very different ideas of what feels “normal” at work.

Stay curious before you judge.

What about you?

Camera ON or OFF for you during Zoom meetings...

I’m still recovering after the shift… but what a Wonder Shift it was.

So, how do we create lasting change?

By turning wellbeing into practical life skills, building our capacity and making it part of everyday life within our families, workplaces and communities.

Thank you to every co-author, speaker, partner, sponsor, exhibitor, volunteer and guest who helped bring this vision to life.

The event may be over, but the Wonder Shift has only just begun.

I’m still recovering after the shift… but what a Wonder Shift it was. 💙

On 25 July, we brought The 7 Wonder Shifts to life through a book launch, wellness expo and a community united by one shared purpose: helping every generation understand one another better and feel well together.

This was more than a one-day event. It was the beginning of a bigger journey to turn wellbeing into practical capacity-building life skills and everyday practices within our families, workplaces and communities.

Thank you to every co-author, speaker, partner, sponsor, exhibitor, volunteer and guest who helped bring this vision to life.

The event may be over, but the Wonder Shift has only just begun.
