Disability Support Worker Northern suburbs of Adelaide afternoons and weekend shifts available.

We’re looking for a compassionate, patient and reliable Disability Support Worker to support a bright and energetic 5-year-old boy with AuDHD (Autism and ADHD) and PDA traits.

The successful applicant will:
🩵Be calm, patient and able to remain regulated during challenging moments
💙Use a strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming approach
🩵Build trust and work at the child’s pace
💙Support community access, social engagement, and skill development
🩵Assist with school homework and therapy-related homework activities
💙Implement strategies outlined in the participant’s Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Plan
🩵Have strong written communication skills, including detailed progress notes and reporting
💙Be comfortable with noise, big emotions and high energy
🩵Hold relevant NDIS clearances, NDISWC, WWCC, First Aid, CPR, current driver’s licence and comprehensive car insurance.

This role would suit someone who is flexible, creative, playful and passionate about supporting neurodivergent children. Experience with Autism, ADHD, PDA and Positive Behaviour Support is highly regarded.

This is such a big milestone and a wonderful step towards greater independence, confidence, freedom, and new opportunities. This represents so much more than just passing a test.

We are so proud of you Miss A. Watching our participants achieve their goals and grow in confidence is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.
