Are you drinking enough? Thirst isn't always a reliable guide ๐ง
As we get older, our thirst signal gets quieter, so by the time you feel thirsty you may already be a little behind.
As a general guide, aim for about 2.6 litres of fluid a day for men and 2.1 litres for women. That's all drinks, including tea, coffee and milk, and food helps too. You may need more on hot days or when you're exercising.
Easy habits that help:
๐ง A glass with each meal and one when you wake up
๐ง A sip between exercises in class
๐ง A water bottle in your bag for every session
๐ง Fruit and veg count: watermelon and cucumber are mostly water!
Pale yellow wee is a good sign you're doing well. If you've been advised to limit fluids or have a health condition, check with your GP about what's right for you.
The full guide and a no-cook watermelon, cucumber and mint salad are in this week's member email. See you in class! Book on Momence.
