🫣Article 3 — When Makeup Becomes the Enemy
"Has makeup started making you look older than you do without it?"
Foundation that once made your skin look smooth and fresh may begin settling into fine lines, clinging to dry areas and highlighting texture you barely notice on clean skin.
You apply a little more, hoping for better coverage.
But the more you apply, the heavier, drier and more tired your skin can appear.
Makeup hasn’t necessarily become the problem.
It may simply be showing you that the skin underneath needs something different now.
Perhaps more hydration. A healthier skin barrier. Gentler products. Better preparation—or fewer layers altogether.
This isn’t about abandoning makeup or hiding your face.
It is about understanding why your skin has changed instead of continuing to work against it.
Because mature skin doesn’t need to be covered, punished or corrected into submission.
"It needs to be understood."
"Next: If your skin could speak, what would it ask you to stop doing?"
