I had a panic attack yesterday.

The hyperventilating, hands and knees wanting to bury into the ground kinda one.
The terror gripping at the chest, the fear chilling the veins as it passes through kinda one.

They’re different for all who have a relationship with them I know, but if you know them, you’ll know the one I mean.

They used to terrify me as they transitioned through, the fear of death was palpable and felt oh so very real. I can remember back to the days of wanting to shut them down; of doing all that I could to make it stop.

I have built a relationship with them now.
They no longer scare me.
They’re just visitors passing through, akin to a fever that just wants to be left alone to do its work unsuppressed.
I welcome them when they come, because I trust in the intelligence of my body, I know that this is what it needs for me to recalibrate and remember; that the level of stress that had become my norm’ was not safe or helping me to thrive.

My body felt safe enough yesterday to purge some of the overwhelm I had been swallowing down.
Relocation, packing up a home, the uncertainty of our next steps, the financial duress, the cancer scare, the sick kids, the lack of sleep, the too muchness of living in a world that pulls and rings and wants of you without pause.

Yesterday I needed to hyperventilate to pull in much needed air that hasn’t been able to enter my body because my chest was so tight, and my lungs were too tense.
I needed to be on all fours to remember my grounding and be pulled back into right union with the earth. I needed to detox and anchor and release.
But in the moment……. if you know you know.

Over the past decade we have opened up much needed dialogue around mental health struggles, and this is mine.
I see the world so clearly, all of the good.
I live in the joy with abandon, I’m so grateful to be here, two feet on the ground, full heart at the ready.
But for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction, and this is my balance for living a life that smiles as loudly as mine does.

I had a panic attack yesterday. Tears and drool and terror and all; and today I choose kindness and slow and compassion for myself, because it’s done now. It came, did its things and then it went, exactly as it was supposed to, exactly as it does when it let it.
My body has the most glorious way of helping me to remember that all of this is so fleeting, and has so much potential to be enjoyed.
No shame, just acceptance for what is.

This is a reminder for anyone who needs to walk themselves gently through today.
Have a cuppa. Read the book. Punch that bag. Take the bath.
Do what you need to do to remember who bloody incredible you are.

I remember when I first got into the coaching game, where the rhetoric was to ensure that only the bright and shiny end results were shared.
Who would be inspired by a coach who has wayward ducks right?!
But my favourite people are the people with ducks who don’t conform to neat lines; because they are the people who understand.
It’s their guidance I want, because who better to love your human than a human.

We’re moving into a world of polished, and AI, and robotic communication; and I object with my whole lived in heart.
There isn’t a part of myself that I don’t love, which is why there’s no parts of you I can’t show you how to love with reckless abandon too. X

A love letter to all of you struggling to exercise (from a women struggling to exercise).

It’s hard.
It’s super bloody awfully hard to get it done before it’s done.
Before the habits are built, and the routine is formed, and the brain acts out of subconscious drive, and not the force of conscious push.

It’s easy to see the women who do it easily and think it’s easeful. For them it is. Now. Now that they’ve mounted the mountain.
They too found it hard, or perhaps they didn’t, perhaps their path was different to yours.
Whether they did or didn’t is irrelevant though right, because it’s not you against them; it’s you against you, always has been.
Which means that there’s no one to blame, because shame is a useless emotion when it brings you down.
There’s no point adding more murk to already murky waters.

Today I ran. It’s been a long time since I did. I haven’t had the drive too, and in all honesty, I don’t know whether I will again; and that’s sometimes the thing that stops us isn’t it?
If it’s not going to happen consistently enough to make changes, what’s the point?
If I’m only going to slip back into old habits which don’t move the needle, why bother?
What’s the point, I’ll never stick it out.

And maybe you/I won’t.
Maybe this will be a one time thing.
Maybe that’s all I’ll get.

And good golly that feels good enough for me.
The presence of it right?
Of knowing that in this moment; I did.
I did it. I proved to myself that I could, so that old chestnut excuse is well and truly roasted into dust.

I/you can, because I/you did.
You/I did it.
And I can do it again.

There’s nothing worse than feeling rooted into ground that doesn’t nourish you.
The slow decay of survival is insipid and insidious and not true.

We didn’t come here to drudge through our days, and I know it’s hard. I know it’s hard.
But when you’re ready, if you’re ready, with no pressure at all to be ready.
I’m cheering you on.
I’m letting you know that you can; even if it feels impossible now.

Change is intrinsic.
Growth is a given.
Joy shrouds it all.

Your life is a canvas.

Oh hey there Melbourne network.

We are currently clearing out our factory space and getting it ready for market.
I am a firm believer in trusting your network; so before we engage an agent, I thought I should see if anyone is looking for a great factory space. 🏠

It is a 230m2 factory space. It has some really great useable space. Kitchenette. 2 bathrooms. Office space. 3 car parking spaces.

Located in Bayswater. Fab location. Gated block of factories with CCTV.

Shoot me a DM if you want more info!

A follow on from yesterday’s reel and our inability to allow women to age.

Facts and sourdough pancakes. 🥞
I know without a doubt that I am not the only one who has spent the morning vibrating at high speed, and not the pleasure giving high speed vibrations 😉

I can feel myself trying to be at the next thing already; and I’m not about that.

Modern day life has told us to be quick, productive, constantly on demand, ready for action. Of course, forward propulsion and goal achieving are huge parts of the human experience; but they’re not the most important.
Your toe feet on the ground, exactly where you are right now is the only real and true thing (outside of being unconditional love) that you have.

I challenge you to stop, breath, and let the to do list lessen its hold on you today my friend x

Please let’s stop.
Coming from a woman who has stopped, so I really am an authority on this topic.
I worked in the weight loss industry for a LOOOONG time, and I had some of the best years of my life doing so; and/but/yet, f**k that industry.
F**k any trace of your normal womanly body being attached to the word vulnerable, or the feelings of shame and guilt that have been carefully laid upon your life by people who make a s**t tonne load of money because you think you’re a wee bit s**te.
No more of that please. Let that bush run wild my friends. X
