**SMBE NSW Conference 2026**

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by the OHM Biomedical booth in Albury. It was a great few days connecting with biomedical engineering and healthcare professionals who are all working toward better patient care, stronger clinical support, and reliable medical equipment.

We were proud to showcase the Zopec Medical UPS, which sparked strong interest throughout the event, especially around its lightweight design, maintenance-free lifecycle, and lower total cost of ownership.

And yes, the 5-function pen was once again a crowd favourite.

We had a fantastic time at Australian Healthcare Week in Sydney!
At OHM Biomedical, our focus this year was on Biomedical IT solutions, particularly the innovative medical UPS technology from ZOPEC Medical.
As hospitals continue to invest in digital transformation — including medical computers, medical carts, Workstations on Wheels (WoW), remote clinics, and virtual training — the need for reliable and portable power is becoming increasingly important. This is especially true in hospital environments and remote clinical settings where dependable power is critical, yet weight and portability remain major challenges.
We were excited to showcase a lightweight medical UPS that is 80% lighter, weighs only 2.3 kg, and is maintenance-free for up to 8 years. Designed specifically for medical devices and medical IT systems, this technology can help improve mobility, reduce downtime, and support more flexible and reliable clinical workflows.
For many teams working on digital transformation, portable power is often an overlooked part of the solution — yet it can make a real difference in enabling connected care, mobile workflows, and care delivery beyond traditional hospital spaces.
