Australian Lebanese Medical Association (ALMA)

Australian Lebanese Medical Association (ALMA) ALMA is a foundation that is comprised of Australian health professionals of a Lebanese heritage and those interested in Lebanese culture.

Established in March 2012 in Melbourne, Australia, ALMA has an Executive Committee comprising a president, vice president, treasurer and secretary that oversee its processes and activities. It also has a General Committee that helps to carry out its goals and events. Members of the Executive Committee and General Committee come from a variety of health professional backgrounds including medical practitioners, nursing, dentistry, scientists, researchers and allied health.

General information

ALMA membership is open to all Australian’s of Lebanese heritage and those interested in Lebanese culture working as health professionals. Student membership is open to those studying a Health course. Sponsorship of ALMA is greatly welcome and can be directed towards a wide range of its events and tools including its website, community education forums and its annual inaugural dinner.
