What does your workforce need to be ready for?

LifeAid regularly delivers practical training across:

• CPR, first aid, advanced first aid and remote-area response
• Advanced resuscitation and medical first response
• Low-voltage rescue
• Fire warden, chief warden and extinguisher training
• Confined-space entry, gas testing and working at heights
• Fluid-power and pressure-injection safety
• Drug and alcohol awareness and tester training
• Heat-illness and fatigue awareness
• Emergency preparedness, site inductions and scenario exercises

Programs can be delivered individually or brought together into a coordinated training and refresher program aligned with site risks, workforce roles and operational requirements.

Course availability and nationally recognised status are confirmed against LifeAid’s current RTO scope and delivery arrangements.

Remote work changes the equation.

Distance from definitive care, difficult communications, environmental exposure, limited resources and complex evacuation pathways all affect how people must prepare and respond.

LifeAid’s experience spans remote mining operations, infrastructure projects, public-land emergencies and paramedic support aboard offshore oil facilities in the Timor Sea. We have also delivered advanced life-support training to ships’ masters responsible for responding when additional medical help may be hours away.

That operational experience informs the healthcare, emergency planning and training services we provide today.

Some people attend AFAC26 for the keynote sessions.

Alan also appears to be conducting a comprehensive inspection of every fire appliance in the exhibition hall.

The attraction is understandable. LifeAid’s work has long intersected with fire and emergency services—from fireground medical support and emergency-response planning to practitioner-led training, operational vehicles and workforce readiness.

The equipment may change, but reliable emergency capability still depends on the same fundamentals: skilled people, sound systems, appropriate resources and the ability to perform in difficult conditions.

LifeAid is at AFAC26 and the Australian Disaster Resilience Conference in Melbourne.

Our Managing Director, Alan Close, is attending across the two days and is keen to connect with people working across disaster resilience, emergency management, public safety and community preparedness.

LifeAid brings nearly 40 years of experience in healthcare, emergency response and workforce training across firegrounds, remote operations, major projects and complex environments.

We are particularly interested in conversations about:

• healthcare as an operational enabler;
• prevention, preparedness and mitigation;
• embedded clinical support in high-risk environments;
• regional and remote workforce capability; and
• practical, practitioner-led emergency training.

LifeAid’s Victorian headquarters is positioned at the gateway to Gippsland, supported by staff and colleagues located across the south-east of the state, including Wonthaggi, Sale, Lakes Entrance and Lake Tyers.

☕ LifeAid Local 🫖

Good coffee. Good conversations. Stronger communities.

For nearly 40 years, LifeAid has been a family business.

Over those years we’ve had thousands of conversations. Some happened in ambulances. Some around boardroom tables. Many have happened over a cup of tea or coffee.

This year we’ve decided to do something a little different. We’re going to spend more time out in the communities we already call home.

Over the coming months you’ll find us visiting cafés, wineries, farms, local businesses and community organisations across Melbourne’s east, the Yarra Valley and the Dandenong Ranges.

We’ll be there to listen.

We want to better understand the people who keep our region moving, learn about the challenges they face, and explore how LifeAid can support them through practical training, workplace health, emergency preparedness and medical services.

After nearly four decades, we still believe the best partnerships begin with a conversation.
