This container is born of lived experience, advocacy for true autonomy and a burning passion to dismantle the boxes and binaries that hold women in annihilation around what true feminine power is.

When I had my implants removed, I was faced with the parts of me I had deemed undesirable and incomplete. It was a reckoning and an initiation in finding wholeness beyond aesthetic, beyond identity, beyond illusion.

Many modern-day women are trapped in a collective psychosis that drives separation through perpetuating the narrative that our bodies are flawed, imperfect and in need of fixing.

Myself AnnaMaria Flynn, Demi Lee and montana lower are teaming up to provide a deep and transformative container that pulls these narratives out by the root. Providing a transformative experience that cultivates a deeper state of wholeness and creates tangible change in your life through the intersection of ritual, rites of passage work, movement, dance and constellations practices.

Our dance school had reached the end of an era.

Something we had poured years of devotion, vision, friendship, sweat and life into was no longer what it had been. And there came a point where the only thing we could do was let it all burn around us. Paint ourselves in ash and flame, and celebrate the torching of what was.

In many ways, our dance school had been built in the energy of the maiden. We created it when so much of our life was centred around becoming, expressing, being seen, making art, pouring ourselves outward.

But slowly, we began to outgrow the very thing we had built. We could feel that it no longer fit, the structure was no longer sustainable, and that the school naturally reflected the season we ourselves had created it from.

But we were changing. And the way we had built it could not come with us.

So we did what artists do.

We took the endings, the uncertainty, the empty space, the pieces we couldn’t yet make sense of, and brought them into the studio. And we are now in the process of creating story, choreography, ritual and theatre from them.

The uncanny thing is, that even though we are creating a production about death, decay, rebirth and renewal, we are not just making a show about those themes. We are inside them. The work is working on us.

Shortly after our dance school died, I fell pregnant. In its hibernation, I birthed my daughter. And now Annie is pregnant too.

We are rebirthing our school from The Mother - mothers in our fourth trimester and first trimester.

From presence rather than performance.
From sustainability rather than endless output.
From tending rather than proving.
From a deeper relationship to time, capacity, devotion and what is actually worthy of our life force.
From inhabiting our roles with more spine, clarity and responsibility.
From understanding that leadership asks for discernment. For knowing what is ours to hold, what is not, and where relationship must give way to role.

Beneath it all, we trust the deeper intelligence of death. That what breaks down is not wasted. It becomes compost... the rich, dark, fertile matter that feeds whatever is ready to be born next.

ENROLMENT IS OPEN FOR RITES 2027, our immersive one-month ARTIST DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM.

The arts hold an intrinsic key to our wellbeing. They have the capacity to reconnect us with ourselves, with one another, and with something greater than the individual. Through creativity we remember, through ritual we make meaning, and through collective expression we find our way home.

At Eclectica, we are passionate about carving out pathways of return, inviting people back into relationship with their innate creativity, their authentic expression, and the ancient wisdom of creating in community.

Our 2027 “semester” will take a different form, making it more accessible to our interstate and international students.

Open to all levels of dance experience, from absolute beginner to advanced, the program will culminate in a full-scale production.

If you have been waiting patiently for our doors to open, this is your moment.

Spaces will be limited as we mindfully rebuild the foundations of our school and work with a smaller student base this year. 🙏🏼

We created this piece as part of our Luminary 2025 stage show, as an exploration of collective and intergenerational trauma - and what gets carried forward when these collective imprints are never fully grieved, processed or repaired.

You are shaped by so much more than the events of your own lifetime. You come from a lineage of people who lived before you. Travel far enough back through any human lineage and you will find rupture. War. Famine. Plague. Persecution. Migration. Displacement. Violence. Segregation. Separation. Loss.

And these are not only stories of the past. Many are realities people are living through in our world right now.

Different peoples have carried different histories, in different places and at different times. But no human lineage has moved through centuries of life untouched..

World wars tore generations of people from their homes. Men were sent away to fight and returned profoundly changed, if they returned at all. Plagues moved through villages and wiped out enormous portions of communities. People have been persecuted for their beliefs, their race, their culture, their class, their s*x. Families have fled countries. People have lost their homes, their languages, their communities, their sense of belonging. And so much of what was survived was simply never spoken about again. These stories need to be spoken about.

Because the lives your ancestors endured mattered. What happened to them mattered. And what they had to become in order to survive can reverberate long after and impact the ways you relate, protect yourself, shut down, lash out, love, parent, attach, fear and belong.

This piece was an attempt to give some of that inheritance a body. To put it on a stage and actually look at it. To speak about what so many of those who came before us could not.

LADIES! We were made for legacy, not for eternal youth.

There are bigger things for women to be preoccupied with.

Song: “Ritual” by Kaleema

24/08/2026

No one is getting out of here alive.

And perhaps remembering this is not morbid, but rather one of the most clarifying things we can do with our lives.

In this snippet from our recent episode, Demi Lee speaks about what facing her own mortality revealed to her - the places she was still withholding herself from life. The offerings not yet birthed. The words not yet spoken. The parts of her medicine kept hidden for fear of judgement, rejection or being misunderstood.

Because when your time comes, you are the one who will die your own death.
Not the people whose approval you were trying to earn.
Not the people you were afraid might judge the way you use your voice.
Not the people you made yourself smaller for.

And there is deep liberation in remembering this.

Death asks us: What are we still withholding from life?

What aren’t we sharing because we’re afraid of what people might think?

What medicine are we carrying that we keep telling ourselves we’re not ready to offer?

Where are we betraying the life that is actually ours, in order to remain palatable?

Everything we love will change. Every season will end. Every body will eventually return to the earth.

And rather than making life meaningless, perhaps this is precisely what makes it sacred.

Let death inform the way you live.

Use your voice. Birth your offerings. Take the risk. Let yourself be seen. Let yourself be misunderstood.

You have a sacred responsibility not to leave this life with your medicine still inside you.
