It's funny.
We change what we wear.
"Nah, that's not really me anymore."
We change our coffee order.
We stop watching shows we used to love.
We go off things all the time.
Nobody finds that strange.
Nobody asks us to justify it.
But when it comes to a career.
Or a relationship.
Or a goal we've spent years chasing.
Suddenly we think we need a closing argument.
Now, obviously the stakes are higher.
Changing careers isn't the same as changing your coffee order.
Walking away from a relationship isn't the same as changing your netflix preferences.
The consequences are real.
But it's interesting how easily we accept that we're allowed to outgrow small things...
and how reluctant we are to admit we've outgrown bigger ones.
The thing is, life doesn't always stop working before it's time to move on.
Sometimes the relationship is fine.
The job is fine.
The routine is fine.
And that's exactly why people stay.
Not because it's right.
Because it's hard to explain why you'd leave something that isn't technically broken.
Fine just keeps renewing its lease.
What's something you've outgrown, even though nothing is technically wrong?
