They said flu-like symptoms.
What they didn’t say?
Severe bone pain in my sternum and legs.
Couldn’t get out of bed.
Vomiting the next day.
After chemo damaged my bones (osteopenia), my oncologist recommended zoledronic acid infusions every 6 months. I trusted the process… but I wasn’t prepared for how intense my body would react.
And this is the part people don’t talk about enough.
Two people can get the same treatment and have completely different experiences.
This isn’t to scare anyone.
It’s to tell the truth.
Because when you’re healthy, you have a thousand wishes…But when your body is breaking, you only have one.
