What IS Iyengar Yoga anyway?????
Iyengar yoga focuses on technique and precision within the physical pose.
It asks us, what is our body doing in this moment?
What do I feel?
But it's actually not the technique that's important!
Our goal is NOT the perfect pose, being bendy or looking good.
No, rather by focussing on the detail, we develop awareness, cultivate concentration, and focus on what we are doing in this PRESENT moment.
By doing this we work to CALM and STEADY the mind.
In other words we use the BODY as a tool to work on the MIND.
We find a steady point of balance in a busy world
