🌻 Did you know? Many disabilities aren’t immediately apparent.

Autism, ADHD, anxiety, hearing loss, chronic pain, diabetes, Crohn’s and hundreds more can be non-visible.

Globally, 1 in 6 people live with a disability, and up to 80% of disabilities are non-visible.

The Sunflower gives people a simple way to discreetly signal that they may need a little more time, help or understanding.

Wearing the Sunflower can help make everyday experiences feel a little easier, more accessible and inclusive. 💛

Did you know Victoria Police have Disability Liaison Officers (DLOs)?

Victoria DLOs are specially trained police officers who help make police services more accessible for people with disability. 🚔

For families of children with disability, DLOs can provide support when reporting a crime, help police understand a child's communication or sensory needs, and help with any issues interacting with the police.

📍 DLOs are available across Victoria. If your local police station doesn't have a DLO, staff can help you connect with the nearest one.

Have your say on proposed NDIS new framework planning and NDIS support rules.

We are making changes to the NDIS to ensure it is sustainable for future generations.

The proposed rules explain how support needs assessments and budgets could work under a new planning approach. We're working with states, territories and the disability community on these changes.

We want to hear from NDIS participants and the disability community to help shape the final rules.

🗓️ Consultation closes at 11.59 pm AEDT on 14 October 2026.

Wear It Purple® Day is this Friday! A day dedicated to showing support for LGBTQIA+ young people.

Why is this day needed?
💜 Well, according to thousands of q***r youth, over 55% of them will have experienced discrimination, just for being themselves.
💜 But, despite challenges, q***r youth still find moments of pride. 73% of them told us they've felt pride and euphoria in being LGBTQIA+.

By wearing purple this Friday you can help show q***r youth that they are supported to be proud of who they are.

We cannot wait to see all the purple that’ll be worn to show support for LGBTQIA+ young people. 🌈
