Pay your friends full price and try to get free s**t from big companies. Not the other way around.

I saw these words in a biz group I'm in (thanks Chenae Carey) and as a small business owner myself, I completely agree.

Why do ‘mates rates’ predominantly apply to small businesses?

If you don't support us, we won't be here in the future to support you.
The big companies? They'll be ok.

To my cherished clients,
I will be closing the business on 30th May 2026.

This decision has taken at least 6 months to settle on because I love the space we've created! The women Ive met! The conversations we've had!

Thank you for your continued support, understanding and kindness.

If you have outstanding sessions, please contact me to complete these before the 30th May 2026 or they will be forfeited.

The time has come.

After 6 months of pondering and 5 beautiful years in business, its time to say good bye.

If you've been to see me in the last few months you'd know
💙 Im working with the elderly that I find so rewarding
💙 Ive returned to study
💙 My health needs to take priority
💙 Ive lost my joy

And with the world's pressures pushing down on us from all angles, I need to rake some pressure off.

Last day of trade will be 30/5/26.

Its never going to be one and done.

Work? You didnt show up on day 1 and know it all.

Gym? Sport? You didnt show up and know how to use the machines or know all the rules. You didnt see results on day 1. More likely you were just sore and didn't want to return.

Hobbies? No way did your first project turn out perfectly the first time!

So I challenge you. Why would your body maintenance (massage, physio, chiro etc) be any different? Why would optimum results show up immediately?
Its an unrealistic expectation on your therapist, and more importantly on you and your body!

But!

Show up routinely and feel the changes in your body, find your new normal and live the vastness of life you deserve!

Sitting here in my pjs, having a 'rot' day has been really illuminating!

Doom scrolling, getting triggered and then Googling why certain conversations are triggering = Growth!

What I realised is this - I hate marketing and I really hate content creation.
Because my style, the way I was taught to sell, how I learned, was to try and convince someone that they neeeeeeeeedddddddddd what Im selling.
And that doesn't work anymore and feels ik. And has felt ik for YEARS.

So Im off to learn my voice. To learn new skills. To polish what I already know but Im clumsy at saying.

So the page and my group may go quiet for 3 months - ish.

I will still be available on the website https://msapothecary.as.me/ because without clients I cant get clear on how I help you!

Welcome to Blur Week!

The days start blurring, time blurs, days blur and all of a sudden its the 6th of January 2026!

If Blur Week already has you in its clutches, here are 3 must do's to feel ready to start the New Year - IMO.

1. Book that thing - you know. The thing you promised yourself you'd book last week, 8 weeks ago, 6 months ago? Book it. (Like a massage with me!?)

2. Get outside. In Brisbane we are SO lucky that the weather has CTFD. So, get outside! Where are you going? What are you doing?

3. Don't wait til New Year to tell those who are special that they mean something to you! Do it now! And regularly through the year.

If you aren't ready for 2026, dont panic!
YOU ARE RIGHT WHERE YOU ARE MENT TO BE!
