A SCAR IS MORE THAN WHAT YOU SEE ON THE SURFACE
How do you decide when to work directly on a scar — and when the best place to begin is somewhere else?
Scar tissue can influence far more than the skin itself. It may affect mobility, comfort, tissue glide and range of motion, while the surrounding fascia, muscles and soft tissues can also become restricted or guarded.
That’s why my scar work is never simply about massaging the scar.
I assess the whole area — looking at range of motion, tissue restriction, swelling, lymphatic flow and how the surrounding structures are responding.
With over 30 years of hands-on experience and specialised training in lymphatic drainage, breast and chest massage, oncology massage and pre- and post-surgical recovery, each treatment is individually tailored to where your body is in its healing journey.
Whether your scar is from a mastectomy, breast surgery, abdominal surgery, joint replacement, cosmetic surgery or another procedure, we can work gently and progressively to support your recovery.

Not every scar needs to be worked on directly straight away. Sometimes the most effective place to begin is around it.
