A home sick day means finding little ways to keep busy. 💜 There’s been lots of cutting, colouring and creating happening at our place this morning. ✂️🌈 Sometimes the unplanned creative moments are the best ones. Now to get out and enjoy the sunshine.

I’ve always loved creating things that are a little bit different and personal to whoever they’re for. 💜

Most of what I’ve made over the years has been for my own kids, businesses, events and fundraisers… but there’s really no reason I can’t create for other people too.

I actually love days like this. No rushing around, nowhere we need to be and a good excuse to slow down for a bit.

Friday night thoughts. 💜

Apparently my brain has decided Friday night is the perfect time to start planning again 😂 I’ve got a few ideas quietly taking shape behind the scenes and I’m feeling pretty excited about where things could go next. Nothing to announce just yet… 👀

At the beginning of this year, I had one simple idea 💡 to run a small creative workshop in a local shop.

I wasn’t even sure if anyone would even come.

Fast forward a few months, and that idea has grown into community events where kids and families have come together to create, connect and slow down.

Every event has taught me something. Every conversation has helped me improve. Every piece of feedback has shaped what Holistic Wellness / Little Hands Big Colour is becoming.

Looking back at these photos makes me realise how much can grow when you just give something a go.

I am proud of what I have achieved so far, and I’m excited to keep creating colourful, meaningful experiences for our community.

As always, thank you to everyone who has supported my little business along the way. It means more than you know. I appreciate you all. 🌻💜

It might look like a table full of craft supplies… but it’s so much more than that. 💜

An Holistic Wellness with Marieka event space is designed to give children somewhere welcoming to:

🎨 create and explore
💜 slow down between busier activities
🌈 make something completely their own
✨ connect with the people they came with

It also gives families another reason to stay longer, enjoy the event and leave with something they created together.

Simple, colourful and meaningful that’s the whole idea. 💜🌻

Here’s a throwback to my first four creative spaces set up at Bounce Fests. 💜🌻

Looking back, it’s not the crafts I notice first it’s the moments. Kids completely immersed in creating, families sitting together, conversations happening around the tables, and everyone slowing down for just a little while.

Every drawing, dreamcatcher, clay creation, and smile reminds me why I started creating these spaces in the first place.

Thank you to everyone who has come along, supported my little business, shared a post or cheered me on. Every bit of support has helped this dream grow, and I can’t wait to see where it takes me next. 🎨💜

Following on from my daughter’s impressive Canva skills last night, she inspired me to have a go myself. 😅

So today I challenged myself to create a home page for Little Hands Big Colour.

I definitely had a few moments where I had no idea what I was doing 🤣, but I’m actually pretty happy with how it’s turned out.

It’s still a work in progress, but I’d love for you to have a look and let me know what you think. If you notice anything that doesn’t work or have any suggestions, I’d love to hear them.

This page has grown with me since I started it in 2022. 💜🌻

At its heart, Holistic Wellness with Marieka has always been about helping people feel better in realistic, meaningful ways.

These days, that looks like creating colourful spaces where kids and families can connect, alongside sharing the Amare products that have supported my own energy, mood and wellbeing.

It’s also a true family business. I’m a mum of four, working hard to build something meaningful that helps support our family and the kids often get involved too. Last night for example, my eldest randomly decided before bed to make a disco poster on Canva. Just look at her concentration and what she created! 🥹🎨 She was so proud of what she made.

They’re watching, learning and growing alongside the business, which makes it even more special.

And thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way. You’re not only helping me build this, you’re also the people I do it for. 💜🌻 Marieka Haigh
