Client: “Nah, I’m from Melbourne, we’ve never met!”

10 mins into tattooing and I’m still thinking… nah, I KNOW her.
I’m asking what area she’s from, her nationality… still nothing 😂

Then I ask her surname.
She tells me.

I literally stop tattooing, put the machine down and go…

“WAIT… is your dad’s name ______?!”

Her: “YES?!”
Me: S**U. I USED TO WORK WITH YOUR DAD 20 YEARS AGO 🤍

She instantly FaceTimes him and next thing I know, I’m tattooing his daughter while catching up with him after TWO DECADES.

Honestly, it was such a funny but weirdly humbling little moment. Twenty years later, completely different life, completely different job… and somehow we all ended up in the same room again.
