Save this one for when things get real!

And send it to the person who’ll be beside you in labour, they NEED to know the tools too.

Birth prep isn’t about memorising a hundred techniques.

It’s about having a handful of tools you’ve actually practised, knowing when to bring them in, and having a support person who knows how to help you use them when your thinking brain has very much left the building 🤯

These are some of the simple tools I come back to again and again in labour — breath, rhythm, movement, touch, environment and connection.

We practice these (and a whole lot more!) in Your Birth Class so you AND your support person leave knowing what you can actually DO when labour gets intense.

Next Ballarat class: Saturday 7th November (only 2 spots left!!) Best done around 20–34 weeks, but you’re absolutely welcome outside that window too.

If I had a dollar for every time I heard “just do an inversion”…

I LOVE having practical tools we can use in pregnancy. I use positioning, movement, bodywork, Acuneedling™ and Internal Pelvic Release in my own practice.

But I don’t love applying the same tool to EVERY body, without asking why we’re using it in the first place.

A breech baby. A posterior baby. Pelvic pain. Feeling tight through one side. A transverse baby. Someone who’s completely comfortable and simply wants to prepare their body for birth.

They’re not automatically the same treatment.

This is one of my favourite parts of pregnancy bodywork, looking at the person in front of me and individualising the treatment and plan to them.

Pregnancy bodywork appointments are available throughout pregnancy — you don’t need to wait until 36 weeks or until something feels “wrong”.

🌼You can see me at any stage in pregnancy for bodywork or Acuneedling, from 32 weeks for Internal Pelvic Release and weekly for pre birth sessions from 36/37 wks

🌼Abdominal Scar care (c-section or any abdo scars) - Once your wound has healed, usually 6-8 wks post surgery and it’s really never to late if you’re experiencing discomfort or challenges.

🌼Pregnancy & Postpartum Bodywork - Anytime in Pregnancy for Discomfort, to support optimal positioning, and anytime postpartum
