Birth education that actually prepares you!

I’m running my next group class on the 11th July - 9-4:30pm in Ballarat

We cover so much more than just pain relief options;

Mindset, understanding and working with Labour & birth, your pelvis and making space, how to make decisions, all types of birth and birth skills to get you feeling confident for you & your partner to take charge of your experience, however it plays out!

I’m not sure when I’ll be running the next one, so if you’re birthing in August-october make sure you book in & don’t miss out!

There are 3 spots left - $449 per couple or group of 2, find out more via my link or website 🧡

The little things can be the big things, and while they might not fit into the tick boxes or checklists of the myriad charts of documentation we have to write on (and often in multiple places IYKYK😆) these are the many unseen and important parts of what we do as midwives..

They’re the immeasurable bits that build trust, support and relationship ‘with women’ amongst the tangle of tasks, the hands on support, the monitoring, the abdo palps, tweaking of the Synto drip, coaching, reassuring, pad checking, the handover sheets, motivating, educating, triaging, and encouraging..

This is just some of the things that support women’s nervous systems, the part that’s often overlooked and the skills that we don’t always learn from the textbooks, or in our degrees.

It’s also a taste of what I like to share in my workshops for Midwives & Birthworkers - if you’d like to learn more about hands on and practical skills about the pelvis, making space, acupressure, touch and advocacy - my Birth Skills workshop is on 10th July in Ballarat from 10-1.

This week on the podcast, I’m chatting with the lovely Lucinda McKimm mum of two, writer, producer, podcaster and host of one of my fave podcasts .pod

We talk about something so many of us struggle with…

How do you actually make work… work… after having babies?

Because it’s not just logistics.
It’s the mental load.
The shifting identity.
The constant juggle between work, home, kids, and yourself.

Lu also shares about her two very different pregnancy & birth experiences, what returning to work really looked like for her, and the conversations that make the biggest difference.

There’s so much warmth & wisdom in this one that I know will make you laugh AND feel seen, especially if you’ve ever felt like you’re being pulled in a hundred directions at once.
